me personally i believe that "time-released" protien is overhyped garbage. i dont see how protein can be "magically" time released anyway cuz i dont think its possible. even if it where possible and the average scoop is 36 g of protein which be 3 g of protien per hour which would be pretty much useless! dont spend your money on over priced crap. if you need protein before bed try a casein-based protein before you go to sleep as it absorbs much slower than whey and after workouts use regular whey and a dextrose combo. not trying to flame bro but why do you read those magazines anyway? there is all kinds of info right here on this board and its from real people and its free. no flame intended. my .02
