I've been with my gf for 13 months now and FINALLY it might be the time to have sex. We're both a little young so it's no big deal, it was wise to wait, but now we're ready. She's a little worried about pregancy so we are going to take the dual contraceptive approach.

My question is, if you have a 1% margin of error on each type of contraceptive, is it reasonable to assume 0% (relative) pregancy chance? Has anyone gotten a person preg by this way that you know?

Please understand the consequences. Pregnancy can happen at any time, any given situation.........don't think it won't ever happen to you. Is she currently on the pill? Also, you should know what sex is about first before engaging in such activities. Sorry to sound so parental, I don't mean to piss in your cheerios, but please be careful.

Man, I don't understand some people? We all talk about how kinky we like it and how great sex is, and how young we started but we always try a steer people away when they want to get started. Thx for the replies. Yes I do know what sex0r is all about and I do know that pregancy COULD happen whenever you have sex, I know personally that I am ready. As for my gf, I am not pressuring her, as I said I have been with her for 13 months and she has known my stance on sex for quite some time (probably 10 months). We both want to have sex, but we also want to do it safely. We could have very easily done it with just a condom by now but that too dangerous for me at this stage of life.

Actually I guess the purpose of this post was for some statistical data. I like numbers.

If condom = 1% chance of pregnancy and pill = 1% chance of pregnancy (I dunno if those numbers are right thats just what u said)

Then the total % chance is 1%*1%=.01% chance

If your both kinda worried about it don't have sex. I really dout you will regreat NOT having sex. Too many times I here people talking about how they wish they were older before they had sex. If you have to do SOMETHING try oral!! Its safer and just as much fun!! For real though, if you do have sex, be careful, being a dad at this point in your lift would really suck!!!
