Pre-exhausting quads before squatting

I've been doing some reading about guys who pre-exhaust their quads with leg extensions before doing squats. Does anyone here do this? I've always done squats first and have had good results but I'm wondering about this pre-exhausting thing and if anyone here does this.

Pre-exhausts do work...just as post-exhausts...for a short period of time. Try doing a set of leg extensions before your squats (I suggest 20 reps or more) then shoot over to the squat rack. You can also do a set of hack squats before or after your regular squats. I suggest doing full squats on both.

Yeah, pre exhaust or warm ups. I find it actually helps me lift more and with better control on my squats after three sets of 15-20 leg presses

they work very well, like anything change is what causes growth. I try not to because when squating I like to be at full steam so i can go intense, but they work very well when training for a sport or if just trying to get a little variety....

I always warm up with 3-4 sets of extensions before doing any heavy lifting with my quads. I think it helps.

Sometimes I'll do both extensions and leg presses before squats to really pre-exhaust the quads. This is so I won't be able to go too heavy on the squats, due to my bad knees. Boy, will your quads scream in agony, if you do this. So give the pre-exhaust thing a try. Its worth it.
