I used to down a whey shake about 30 minutes after I lift my last weight (right when I got home from the gym) and then ate dinner about 1 hour later because the shake kinda made me not want to eat. Now I come home, shower and put on proactive, then heat up dinner which is a baked potato, 1 tbsp of natural peanut butter, and an 8oz piece of chicken. So I don't eat until about 1 hour after I lift my last weight.
Am I hurting my progress by not having a whey shake before the shower? Should I add some kind of carb before/with the shake?
Right now I get about 300g protein a day and only 50g of that is from shakes (one in the morning with my oatmeal and a cassien shake at night before bed).
