possible heart prob?

RottenWillow said:
Yeah I guess my pain is musculoskeletal as well since I'm not an anxious person and my doc sent me to a cardiologist b/c of the sxs I reported to him.

I get stabbing pains right on my ticker all the time. Sometimes it feels like dozens of tiny needles poking me right over my heart, but other times it's like a knife. Sometimes I feel it up into my left shoulder and even into my back at times. I've never had it all the way across my chest though, or felt the pressure someone mentioned. My doc sent me to a cardiologist a year ago who did an echo and said my heart looked fine and I've had two ekg's which looked all good too. My total chol has been checked every year for the last 3 and it's never been over 190 and my triglycerides are never been over like 70 so I dont see what it could be angina from clogged arteries.

I've had pretty much every standard test except an angiogram.

Thats moew oe less the same as mine, do u get sharp pin like feelings under your breastbone too?? what about your left nipple? do u get pins like feeling around that too? coz i do

Yeah that's part of what I was describing when I said sometimes the discomfort feels like a bunch of needles sticking me, and yes it's right near the sternum.

no, not anymore. I mean it's never killed me, and I've noticed exercise doesnt make it any worse or better.

Having had the echo and 2 ekg's though really helped give me peace of mind, you know? If you havent had those done already, you really should.

Ur a mixed anxious/hypochondriac...i know, i once was one too...
I had a PA the first time i shot, when i felt those sharp sternal pain when inhaling......i get palpitations...anxiety when i think something is really wrong.....but there never is.
Point being....your probly have some stretched muscles or cartilage somewhere, when you expand the chest cage or contract (the whole pushing on the chest thing to feel pain) it, it hurts....MI hurt with constant squeezing....your just getting anxiety over these things...it will stop when you get used to it happening sometimes.
Dont worry about it....you might have an anxiety attack again 8-)

Yes I have had an echo in january and had a treadmill test last month.. ive also had approx 20 ecg's ... they same as ekg's?

Yes they are the same thing. And once again, 20 of them is EXCESSIVE! Borderline psychotic behavior dude. You would be what we lovingly call a "frequent flyer" and laughed at every time you came in. How many times does a doctor have to tell and do complete cardiac work-ups on you for you to believe them?
