We live on first floor (baby´s 5 months now) and I have nothing to complain. Before baby we lived on third floor and there wasn´t elevator :worried: so we had to move. I go to walk every day with baby carriage and it´s so easy when you´re on first floor :)
This is very peacuful area. But if I´d live somewhere which not, I´d prefer upper floors.

So, are you by nature a scardey cat??? i current and for the last 9 months have slept on the couch, because i am so paranoid some one is coming into my house. whta was it about the higher floors that made you feel more safe??? Thank you for the helpful info!

Lol, no. Finland is very safe place to live :)
I was thinking that I´d be living there, somewhere very restless area. I´d be scared that someone could peek through windows. Or come through window :worried:

See that is how i feel....i think i have heard if you are on the first floor, there are more break ins??? I just don't know...guess i will have to look at the crime rate raitings and see how dangerous of a place these places are...lol thank you for your help

but not to mention,i am expecting, so the first floor would probably be ideal since i will have a baby to carry....uuhhggg...decisions decisions...i have never had to worry about this kind of stuff before....hoping i dont have to move out of my nice safe house...but it looks more and more like i am going to have to....i kind of mentioned so mething to my daughter about it and she wasn't to happy

My mom and dad lived in an apartment when us kids were just little and she was on the top floor and just hated it. Not just because there was stairs to climb up with little ones, but when they went grocery shopping it was the worst. I guess if you have an elevator then that might be a lot easier. As of the 1st floor if you cant sleep as it is how are you going to sleep with a new born, you will be that more terrified of someone coming in. I know I would. I think the 2nd floor would be a safe bet and honelsty a lot more safe then the bottom floor.

You know, good point. It is easy when it just me and my 4 year old...but i guess i didn't really think about a helpless child.....i am thinking 2nd floor then...not to far to walk up or down and a little bit more safe....thank you guys!

I avoid the 1st floor like the plague - in my mind there are too many windows that are very easily accessible (break into) and also the doors are very accessible with an easy approach & easy "getaway" and also people can observe you easily from the parking lot. I don't think I'm being paranoid - but I don't see the point in makign it easier for something bad to happen. Also when I lived in FL I also needed to be aware of areas that were prone to flooding.
