just curious as to what some of you crazy mofo's think about to piss you off so you can squeeze that last rep in???

lifting the weight, feeling the muscle. If you have too many things going on in your head, you need to focus harder

as soon as i start my first exercise,i'm in another world!the world of "shut the fuck up and train"...during my reps and sets i'm blanked out and have one thing in mind:KICK SOME MOFO ASS...

I think "I wonder if I have another rep in me?"

Also I no longer train "past" failure. I save it for the next set and the next workout. I am getting better results just training on a regular schedule and not trying to gut out 2 reps past failure every damn set.

I focus on the muscle, feel every fiber working... I actually picture what the muscle itself looks like while it's contracting, and working... and I visualize it getting bigger.
If I can't do that, because I'm focused more on the weight itself... then the weight's too heavy.

Speak big bro you have the right idea ! Train to work the muscle don't just lift the damn weight!:smash:

I concentrate solely on moving the weight with perfect form for as many reps as possible and feeling the muscle work...Then (on certain movements) when the perfect form isn't possible, I concentrate on cheating just enough to get the weight moving while continuing to get a peak contraction without hurting myself.

If you can think about your girlfriend while you're doing all that, you need to go a little heavier.
