I have a feeling the concept is sound but the way he lays it out is overtraining. I'm thinking of re-doing the program as a 7-day split (as opposed to the suggested 5 day split).
It's a program designed for both muscle size and strength (due to neural adaptation).
You work in waves. Do a 1RM BenchPress then do a 6RM (you should be stronger for the 6rm). Then do that again. YOu train antagonists (which is also supposed to potentiate the nervous system) and rest 2-3 mins between sets.

Agree 100% with your comment. Got sore after each workout...too sore. Too much volume. I also didn´t get the promised ability to do 6 reps with a weight heavier that what I normally do to get 6 reps. Sounds great on paper, but didn´t work in practice for me. Kinda like the Kama Sutre.
