I'd be fully acceptable to being punched if I was dumb enough to resist arrest *and* assault a police officer.

In fact, I'd expect to get hammered a hell of a lot harder than that kid did.

It's easy to be tough and threatening over the internet. So I'll forgive your belligerent and incompetant raving.

at the end of the day, it was unnecessary violence. they had him subdued. the carhood slam might be understood, the punch just frustration. had he not already out someone into a coma he probably would have been back on patrol once the furore had died down

For purposes of breaking the law, an offensive touching or contact is impermissible period. The law does not distinguish between whether the punch is hard or soft. A battery is a battery.

And, this officer committed a battery---a criminal act.

As always, you've offered absolutely nothing to support your contentions. Whereas, I will be more than happy to pull a few among thousands of ACTUAL court cases where African-Americans have been deemed to be the targets of individous discrimination by your peers----jurors. I suppose your peers lie also, right?

If you had read my post, you would have noticed that I said that these cases or testimonies, whatever you choose to call them, really offer no proof, only personal opinion. I stated that many will claim to have been discriminated against simply to get something to go their way.

yeah okay, tell me where I said he was hospitalized. I don't think so.

I thought they all did fine until the kid was punched is all. And this was a grown man punching some kid, who was restrained. maybe grown men punching kids who are restrained is okay where you're from, but it's not okay with me. it only takes a little more effort to hit someone harder with a punch. if his fellow officers didn't restrain him who knows what he'd do.

The kid is a moron for resisting and assaulting them. Maybe next time he'll think twice before trying hurt someone protecting the public from people like him.

If it prevents him from being an idiot in the future, then it was well worth it.
