Police academy and steroids...

New member
starting the police academy in August....and there is a drug test before hand...anyone know for sure what they test for...i have a cycle teasing me...but im afraid to start if it will ruin my chances of getting through the academy...
 
gonna be a cop huh....scenario: what would you do if you pulled someone over and they had gear on them?? hmmmm do tell??

I believe they only test for the regular stuff (coke, meth, thc, opiates, brabituates, benzodiazepenes)-If all cops who juiced were kicked off the force there would be a hell of a lot less cops.

thats what i think too...im sure there are lots of cops on here....i have a list of what they test for...never heard of allot it...ill post it in a bit....
 
heres whats specified on the list...not sure if anything else is included with out knowing..

1. Amphetamine (no need to worry there)
2. Barbiturates...(not sure what they are..but no worries)
3. Cocaine....(no worries)
4. Methaqualone (never heard of)
5. Phencyclidine (never heard of)
6. Cannabinoid Screen (never heard of)
7. opiates (no worries)
8. Benzodiazepines (never heard of)
 
ya you dont have to worry about the juice... look at Ronnie Coleman .... he became mr O as a cop.. besides most of them unless they learn on there own ...would not even know what steroids were if you put them infront of there face..
...... no body tests for steroids.. costs to much.. they only do what they have to do.. as far as testing.. and steroids is not an issure... so juice up man...
you got a be big if you wanna protect us...
 
if i do get through it all...ill be looking out for my fellow bb bros....i dont honestly see the logic in arresting people for gear......

1. Amphetamine-ice, crank, exc. But be careful, ephedrine has been known to test positive for this. Also, be careful of Sudafed, the psuedaephedrie can cause a false positive.
2. Barbiturates-Phenobarbital
3. Cocaine....(no worries)
4. Methaqualone-Quaalude, Sopor, Parest; ludes, mandrex, quad, quay
5. Phencyclidine-PCP, angel dust, boat, hog, love boat, peace pill
6. Cannabinoid Screen-THC, pot, herb
7. opiates-morphine, herion, lortab, percocet
8. Benzodiazepines-xanax, klonopin, valium

I think thats awesome that your going to be a cop bro.....good luck and let us know how you do..i had a bro that became a cop and he said the interview process for this was CRAZY..shooting questions left and right...
 
clean as a whistle.....the only problem i see is ...they want my neighbors info..and i dont know who the hell they are.....
 
A buddy of mine is testing right now for it. It's not so much the drug test you have to pass, it's the lie detector test. They'll ask you if you have used before (steroids) during the lie detector test. Clench your ass muscle on the true questions so when you lie on that one it won't show up as a "lie". lol. (i heard that works. by clenching your muscle down there it raises your blood pressure - do that on questions that are obviously true like your name and if they ask you anything about steroids clench away).
 
ya they did the same with my wife... she worked dispatch for a while..
lots of checking... i was afraid i would hurt her record.. because i have been to jail twice.... but it was fine...

ya that and digging your toes into the ground.. or squeezing them really tight..but do it the whole time... not just on certain ones..

Funny that they still test for quaaludes, they haven't made them in like 20 yrs......
 
this is a serious post, my buddy is a chi town police officer, firstly he is totally cool with us smokin some herb and shit, no narcotics, with that said. when they test for steroids they do not test you and say hey there was sust in his urine. they see that your test levels are very high and no u used test. for deca they see that your nandrolone levels are very high. i don't understand with winny though cause when you test positive for that its like your urine contained stanazolol, hope this helps. i know drug tests don't check for juice but the police is not my expertise, you should probably find that out from someone who really knows. a fellow officer. hope this helps, good luck, without people like you everything would be a witch hunt, we need policeman who are down to earth and understand culture. just don't take my winny if you pull me over, i pay an arm and a leg for it. also guys by him saying he is gonna juice it shows us that not all authorities are so ignorant about juice.
 
not true. they do check for roids. my dads a cop and i want him to do so, but he tells me they test. so hes trying to go through his doc. and no he dosnt know im on.

??? i dont understand... you mean your dad thinks they do?
 
If there is any question regarding your background what-so-ever they will put you through the polygraph and they will test you for them. If anyone raises a stink about you, they will test you.

These are big "ifs". Do you want to take that chance.
 
just to sum it all up.....formally they do not test you for steroids.....I made a couple calls to friends who are cops....and family.....they test if you enter the academy and are normal and leave jacked......any obvious signs....you will get tested....if you get there and are a bulging lunitic....guess what...your gonna get tested.....no worries....my backround check wont go anywhere...have few close friends..and family....theyll be chasing theyre tails looking for anything.....plus im not going to be employed in the state i currently live in....its far far away...

well... I just know they dont test back in my home town... have a cousin that is a HI-Po ... they did not test either...
in the cop classes they told them.. that they dont mess with steroids much... that they are mostly in the mexico boarder states anyway... they only problem they have ever had with steroids is the cops usuing them and not knowing there own strength and hurting there captives.. like putting hand cuffs on to tight and such....
........but i think you are right.. money ...cost a lot to test for them..
and I am from the Oklahoma area... so is probably a lot different then say LA or somthing like that...
 
yea they only test for sched i and ii ( cocaine, heroin,amphetamines, weed). they only test for juice if they suspect. trust me

These guys saying that nobody tests for steroids are wrong. The chances are not high that you will be tested, but it is a possibility, especially if they suspect you of it. They don't like to make a habit of testing people because, like others have said, it is very expensive, but they have every right to test you if they want to and some agencies do. You will probably be fine, but I wouldn't risk it if I were you because if you fail one of those tests, I assume it will be very hard in the future to find any other agencies that will take you.........
 
You can't fake or trick a polygraph. I went through several interviews with federal law enforcement an when they ask those questions it's usually because they know the answer. They don't are if you have done them they want to make sure you are not a liar. Same thing with the more common drugs. Now if you are a raving meth head they are gonna have a problem. What the polygraph is about is the honesty factor. If you ask most sergeants in police squads, they want somebody that's a little greasy. Not a mommas boy with no experience with the types of people you are protecting it's citizens from. That was from a retires police captain my folks are friends with. But if they do test it's prolly gonna be upon entering. So... Lay off em for a while. Get the job, cycle back away and keep it manageable. And thanks for serving too bro. I know it's not the military but it's another thankless job.
