Dear Friends and Fellow Athletes, <p>We need some new Moderators to help moderate the EliteFitness.com Discussion Forums. Our current moderators are the best on the Net, but as the site has grown, they have indicated to me that they need some help. Since our Members make EliteFitness.com the great site that it is today, and since our members selected our current Moderators, I would appreciate your nominating prospective Moderators that you feel would do an outstanding job at helping me run the EliteFitness.com Site. </p> <p>Here's a few things to think about when you nominate a prospective moderator:</p> <p>1. EliteFitness.com Moderators cannot be involved in any illegal activity.</p> <p>2. EliteFitness.com Moderators cannot be Moderators or Admins of other bodybuilding sites. </p> <p>3. In selecting Moderators, special preference is given to <a href="http://www.elitefitness.com/reports/platinum/" target="_blank">Platinum Members</a>. Please click here to read more about becoming a <a href="http://www.elitefitness.com/reports/platinum/" target="_blank">Platinum Member</a>. </p> <p>4. We need moderators for all of the site, which means, you might know about a good candidate for Moderator of the forum <a href="http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13" target="_blank">Life Extension, Longevity & Andropause</a> - for example - or any of the other smaller forums. Please post up you nominations. Your nominations need not be only for Moderator of the larger forums.</p>I appreciate your help.

There is no set requirement. But I would say at least some time every day.

Is there any way you can give a brief explanation or summary of what the Moderators' responsibilities are? What are they expected to do? Also, what type of person would be best suited for a Mod position/what are you looking for in a potential Mod? or is it just a popularity contest?

I've seen Devastation post and he would be great on the PowerLifting board as a mod

I don't care who as long as its people who have been around awhile and contribute good things.

and if I don't liek the choices as always I will have an opinion ;) ;)

I figure once I go plat for life I am entitled to offer even more opinions :garza:

i would like to nominate sugarplum for mod of the weighttraining forum. this girl knows her stuff and there's alot of bs that goes on there. she would do a great job regulating

Excellent question - here's a few things I look for:

Move posts to their proper forum - we need a lot of help with that.
Recommend and vote on member bannings to help the Elite mods.
Help discuss my ideas on making the site better in the Mod forum.
Deleting posts.
Prevent members from being harassed
Welcoming new members.
Being an expert in a certain subject.
Encouraging conversation, sharing ideas and being open minded.
Locking threads that become flame fests.
Be a supporter and advocate for EliteFitness.com both on and off the site.

george, if any should be the next mod, it should be mavy. that guy goes out of his way to help everyone. and just like everyone else, i wouldnt mind being a mod either, as i would take care of alot of posts and what not that should be deleted or closed. (as you have seen, lol) yeah but mavy for sure gets my vote, thats if he wants to mod.

you need new mods on the law board, they aren't doing their job. there's a shitload of bad legal advice over there. could get a lot of peeps in trouble. i have also reported source posts i have found on the law board and no one deleted the damn things. mod should be a lawyer and NOT a law student. i'm too busy, so not nominating myself.

Hands down....the most qualified candidate for the job is MAVY! When it comes to anabolic knowledge, recommendations, research, and overall ability.....you just can't beat MAVY!

Mavy has all the right credentials but as you say it is if he can accomodate the time in his schedule. I am sure he can discuss direct with George as he certainly has good support

Hope he remebers who said his name first when he is all powerful LOL

I'd like to nominate myself for the Longevity Forum because I'm an Old Fart and know all about longevity , Length wise and agewise!
