Except when I do squats. I tend to get lightheaded and faint when doing these. It makes me mad, because my legs feel like they could keep on going. But I must do the first set of 15, stop a while until I feel better, do maybe 8 more, stop again, do 7 more. Maddening.

I ended up not going for a week, due to being out of town. I am going to try to get my grandfather's weights he doesn't use any more and carry around in my car since it looks like I will have to travel for work indefinitely.

About the topic, most fat people are not going to learn weightlifting from a fat instructor, because most fat people don't know about/don't want to do/have misconceptions about weightlifting!!! So the only place they are likely to see a large instructor is the aerobics floor. On the NAAFA board I only have seen one other person who does any weights at all. But any who are exercising are either swimming, or doing some form of aerobics as able.

come on people, over 150 views and only 9 votes? keep the votes coming. i would have posted this on the chat board, but i want the cock ratio down for the vote on this subject.

Well, you're polling a skewed population here.

Of course someone experienced in bodybuilding, with "The Physique," doesn't want to go "backwards" by training with someone with more fat then they have!!

But if you were polling less experienced, lean people, chances are you'd get different answers.

spatts, when the facts and results dont work out in someones favor, instead of admitting it, they tend to refute it one way or another..

Um, actually I spent most of the past two weeks out of town, with no access to the internet.

But I did buy the BFL book and spent the time reading that.

Does that count? :)

(just wondering, what's your definition of 'enough?')

have you read where she said the results of this poll would be biased since everyone here is in shape? also, check out the latest drivel in the other thread.

plus she basically compared me to the anti-christ :)

You don't feel that she's moving in the right direction?

in terms of diet and training? i have no clue. i dont follow any of her other posts. just the ones in 'the fat chronicles' and now here. if she is on her way to starting a healthy lifestyle. congrats to here. seriously

I haven't compared anyone to anything.

I try to avoid doing that lest I start sounding like ... well, like some of the other posters common to that thread and this one.

What I said was that you were demonstrating a lack of compassion for your fellow man that shocked me.

And I wasn't kidding.

Well, we're laggin' on the eating habits, to be quite honest.

What's needed is to finish cleanin' my apartment, hit the grocery, and hit the Wal-mart for some of those protein bars.

It WILL happen.

One thing that changed my mind is when I got laid off on the third of January. First of all I was laid off, which is depressing anyway, and then my car broke down like three times leaving me stuck at home with no car, and then it snowed and we got snowed in. Basically I spent three weeks doing N-O-T-H-I-N-G at all!!! Which I thought was fun until I went back to the gym and discovered how badly my performance on the treadmill had suffered in just three weeks!!! It was HORRIBLE!! I felt like an old woman!!!

That was about the time I decided that I was going to do the gym every day if I possibly at all could get there, whether I looked any better for my efforts or not! (I kept seeing visions of my crippled grandma sitting up the corner crying because she can't cook or garden anymore ...)
