Picture Update: Summer Is Here. Lets Show off the Hard Work!

Hello Ladies and Gentlement. Summer just started and we all have been busting our asses to get into shape for this time.

I have been dieting like a animal. Training has been superb (with the help of lipoflame for cardio and my amp02 for intensity).

My Stats:

5' 10 - 5' 11
195lbs
Waist: 32in
BF: Est: 10% (maybe lower)

My Cardio has definately helped me shred the stomach fat. I started supplementing lipoflame @ 3caps/2x Day on NON Cardio Days, while on cardio days i used the full 6 caps pre cardio. My Cardio has increased tremendously, and my BF has decreased.

Diet is still:
40% Protein
30% Fat
30% Carbs

Whole Wheat/Whole Grains are my carbs of choice.

Here is a breakdown of my Meals:

Breakfast:
3 Egg Whites & 1 Whole egg
1 bowl of Weight Control Oatmeal (higher in fiber and sweetened with
splenda)

Snack 1:
Tuna on flax seed Wrap (100 Calorie wraps, made out Flax, etc, high in fiber)

Lunch:
Grilled chicken w/ custom Salsa Mix (chick peas, olives, salsa + fat free italian dressing) & 2 Pieces of Whole Wheat Toast (you put the chicken and salsa mix on the toast, it tastes awesome!)

Snack2:
Handfull of Peanuts

Dinner:
I had The Salsa Mix left over so i had Grilled Chicken + Flax Seed Wrap with Salsa Mix

PreBed Meal:
Ok, this was a mess up, i had cerial in a cup last night with milk + cashews.....but hey, whole grains baby! lol

h20 Consumption:
Has been Very High Lately, im just loving water. Also, i drink 2-3 cups/day of Green Tea (real green tea bags + hot water), i leave the tea bags in, and just refill the water and reuse the bag. I make sure to have atleast 2x/day.


OH YEA, AND IF U WANT TO SEE HOW BIG I WAS BEFORE ELITEFITNESS, CHECK MY OLDER LOGS (IN SIGNATURE)

i would love to be 220 ish, but for the summer it wasnt possible to achieve 220/10% BF...

my body doesnt seem to hold weight over 200lbs, which is fine, muscle maturity is key, i only want to add lean mass too, so it is difficult...

next summer ill be 220 =] right now im happy where im at tho =]

and i tan very easily, just havnt had time to get to the beach lol

Yes i am, im taking some time off to balance out my shoulders, i just got an MRI (thought i tore a rotator), it showed significant muscle wear and tear but also showed a big imbalance.

Squating like a PL,

benching and back work like a BB (untill its healed up)

before i slowed it down

Bench (shirted) was 380ish with 3 chains each side
Squat was over 620 (havnt went for a max, but did single 480 off box WITH NO equipment...

Deadlift is always around my squat so 600 ish.....

Damn bro you've must of lost a lot of weight, in order to pull those kind of lifts! What were your stats when you were lifting those number?

Dude, I am thoroughly impressed with your PLing numbers, being a powerlifter myself (or pretending to be one). I compete at 198, look a lot like your pictures, and can't hit close to the numbers you're hitting. My question is, are you still hitting those numbers at 195lbs? If so, heal that shoulder up and sign up for the next comp. What fed do you lift in?

Again, congrats on the hard work and discipline with the diet. Lord knows I don't have it.

hey thanks bro, yeah my bench numbers are still in the 400's....my squat is over 600 still.....at 195 i feel just as strong as a chubby 205......

my shoulder is healing, but even when it hurt i was still able to bench in the 400's......

last competed fed was AAPF in Oct @ 181lbs
my numbers were

320 bench
580 squat
520 dead

and i weight alot more now...

i weigh 188-189 and i bench 350 but far as my squat its crap cause i had a knee injury awhile back really hampered my squat never maxed out on dead lift

good point here, im glad u mentioned this, i always feel my chest was lagging behind....i have really added some size....

i train like a powerlifter, for strengh....so size was never my concern...i always wanted to be strong and look good as a side....

my rep range for most my lifts are 3-5reps. Since my shoulder injury, (which is slowly healing) i have stepped my upperbody into split days. I never did split days before so i know i WILL GROW, and QUICKLY too.

But thin? what makes me look thin? Just wondering.....
Oh and i would love to see a pic of you, and tell me what condition you are in, and then ill be able to tell what you coniser thin, for all i know u could be a 250lb monster lol

he looks pretty good... the side poses shows the thickness in his chest... there is definately plenty of muscle in his chest... i think more attention on the lats will improve the front pose of the chest, by giving it a more "wider" appearance... i have the same issue and love when I have a good lat "flare"... big difference in the chest...

at 181 with my numbers i might blow away the competition, but dudes at 200 / 220 are hitting some VERY VERY good numbers.

i felt small at 181 i like where im at right now, and ill keep training like a PL, so my size should increase alittle, but strenght is my goal.

my last competition was APF in NY.

a 315lb bench is a 1000 miles from 400lb bench and 10 extra lbs aint gonna cut it. im 45 and been involved in powerlifting in one way or another since i was 24. you say over and over you benched in the 400lb range and the post vidios showing a 315 bench??? it would take a rep range of 10-12 with 315 to be even close to 400lb bench. show us the 400lb bench. and as far as me showing any pics or vidios.....im not the one spewing forth bullshit.

I hit 315/320 in my first competion,with a handme down bench shirt bro, it was my first ever. I got alittle bigger and learn the gear ALOT, perfected my bench arch and learned how to drive me legs

Nice Mike.... I am still way better looking, but how strong you got so quick amazes me. I would love to see you try the Oly lifts - with your genetic gifts I think you would do well.

Travis Mash, total maniac, is making the switch, but is using the PL conjugates in his training...so he is doing banded muscle snatches, and Clean & Jerks w/ chains:

my 18 year old friend who weighs 180lbs hits about 385 bench and he does 315 about 5-6 times, i think with higher weights u do less reps but can make a huge increase in weight, if you are doing low weights 50 pound increase for someone benching 200 is a huge increase but i believe someone maxing at 400, 50 pound increase is alot but not as hard

he also has good squats and deadlift

I`ll Post up a pic tonight i am not being a dick i think i look skinny too :) but my honest opnion your chest is lil small but looks more genetic than lack of lifting you do look good and as far as looking thin the other dood might be right it might be the lats that make you appear thinner but good job

the vidios are personal with personally listed numbers, why are they not any where to be found with the rest of the legit vidios on the website your 'personal vidios are posted ? First off the "400lb" bench has a total of 4x 44lb plates plus the 45lb bar makes it a 225lb bench, theres no way there is 4 x 44lb plates on each side. look at the legit vidio of 'termis2' benching 225lbs for 25 reps on 1/21/07. does the weight on bar look familiar to the weight on the supposed 400lb bench ?
second, your box bench is not a little high, its about a foot high. legit squats require the tops of the thighs to drop below the top of the knee. in all your squat vidios i did not see one squat that would get any white lights in any legit contest. its funny how you have a blue banner flashing accross one of your 3 attemt squat vidio so your depth can not be seen until at the last second of your 600lb attempt your at least 8-12 inches high when you attempt to raise the weight.
you all think what you want, i could give 2 shits, but the vidios and the constant variables of weights he has lifted from post to post only verifies my belief of "bullshit".
not saying the kid doesnt look good,is stronger than most and has a strong desire to be a great powerlifter. but real results and desired results seem to have a huge disparity from a lot of people. just my 2 cc's.............

the bar weight on the bench is actually 418lbs with collars that are 2lbs each so technically its 422 =]

Also, i dont know if u realized i am using Kilogram Weights, which are professional quality, which are alot thinner then a reg 45lb weight. They are Ivanko's i believe. I know alot of you might not have ever seen calibrated weights before, but professional ivanko's are ALOT thinner guys, use your fucking heads.

second i know my box squat was high, those videos were old did u check the date on them lol

The bar was also put there by the video uploader not me on the asylym videos...

My last competition squat was 560 judged by 3 jugdes in real life, so your opinion doesnt mean much, the 3 judges do

Squat: 560 Bench -- Deadlift: 505

My First Competition i bombed on my bench, so technically i was disqualified, since powerlifting is such a nice community of guys they let me finish with the deadlift, and i was able to get 505. I also took home a trophy for it. (the deadlit)

sup guys, thanks for the feed back. i know my chest is small, its deffinately a genetic thing. moms side of the fam is all small and bird chested. hopefully after a cycle or two it wont be so lacking. ill repost pics after i finish my cycle im on at the moment. hope to see some changes.

Hey dude, can you tell me what gear you're currently using? You said you lift in the APF and you mentioned a double-ply shirt but in those pictures of you squatting and deadlifting you appear to be using a Titan Centurion along with the good ol' inzer wraps. My First Suit was a handme down Squat Suit, that someone actually here on EF, mailed to me and let me use my first 2 competitions.

In the pictures that suit is actually the 'BOSS w/ NGX material i believe, and it is in fact 2 Layers'

My bench shirt is "open back/cut back Rage X single Ply", and in the bench video i am wearing this one. I also have a 2ply Rage X, open back, scoop neck, but never used it since my arms are too small for it.

I used to deadlift Conventional Style, now i have went onto Sumo Style, only because the suit fits the sumo groove alot better and actually i get about 30lbs out of my squat suit for deadlifts. I cannot deadlift conventional in the suit, it completely throws me off as well.

My Current Squat Suit is the "Metal Pro (275$), i still cant tell which has more carry over since the metal suit comes standard and you cant modify it with out sending it away to a specializt. the Titan came with Special Hips that were made for skinny guy with big legs. My metal suit, is made for a fat guy with fat legs, so the legs fit awsome, but my hips are loose....

I do lift in AAPF/APF, i hope to do nationals next year. My buddy and I are going to focus on it for the next entire year. I'm going to do a small meet in october in Tribes Hill, with the Iron Asylyum Gym. By then my shoulder should be balanced out and i have grown a ton since throwing on the bench shirt so it should fit tighter and my weights should go up.

Everything in competiton is about your lifting technique, if its great u will lift great. (unless your a freak and just crazy strong)
 
in dec of 2006 you squat 560, bench 315, dead 520 and now only 6 months later you can squat over 600, bench over 400, and dead close to your squat ????? you so full of shit dude ! why is only your 520 deadlift listed in the APF results ? Wheres the 600lb squat ? Sorry, but in any legit power lifting meet none of your squats where even close to below paralel. did you bomb on the squat also therefore no APF result ?? There is no way you go from 315 to 400 in 6 months in the bench. ive been showing this post to 3 friends of mine, one who benched 600 clean, and there all saying the same thing, bullshit. the only lift you have listed as an apf result is your 520 dead in dec '06. if youve been competing in apf sanctioned meets and your lifts were good then they would be listed somewhere.
you want to prove me wrong, go to the gym and load the bar with 600 so we can clearly see the plates on the bar, then let us see you drop below paralel, tops of thigh below tops of knee, and squat the weight. use whatever gear you want. then do the same with the bench. and oh ya, deadlift "close to what you squat", 600lbs not 520lbs. im sure youll notice a bit of a difference.
nothing you have to show proves a thing except maybe to the untrained eye. and not that anybody will even give a shit, but since you keep asking I squated 575, benched 360, and dead lifted 550 about 20 yrs ago in the 221's. I missed on the first 2 squat attempts because of depth so I know how hard it is to get below paralel especially with a suit thats to tight. and i still got one red on the last attempt. i cant even remember who sactioned the meet but it was just a local meet in belfast, maine. i havnt competed since because i just dont have the genetics. i came in 4th place in a local meet so it just wasnt worth the pain. i do however have many friends who compete and have been to many meets to spot and help with gear so i have the experience to feel confident in what your saying and what your showing doesnt add up at all. at age 46 im pretty confident i could hit the numbers needed to break all the state of maine records for the senior class so if and when i compete again ill be sure to post some real results.

560 Squat
315: Bench
520: Deadlift
Totals=1395

You @ 221:
575: Squat
360: Bench
550: Deadlift
Totals = 1485

Thats only 90lb differece in our Totals. IT ALSO IS 40LBS HEAVIER THEN I WAS AT 181.

LMAO, so getting 315 on my 2nd attempt, and going for 350 my third attempt means what? Oh yea, that my max for the day was somewhere near 340 ish. HMM now can someone who was still learning his shirt improve his technique to get an extra 40 - 60lbs, simple answer YES, hard answer, YOU CANT DO IT, BUT I SURE DID.

Dude, after my second meet i went ahead a went on 500mg test/week i GOT ton stronger and bigger and my gear fit tighter. Im done arguing my point to you. I DO SQAUT 600lbs no matter what you or your buddies think. I DO Bench 400lbs (as i posted the video already and u doubt, next time i max on bench i will walk over and seperate the plates for any ignorant peopkle) And i DO Deadlift over 550 as well. (which is already better then you so if no matter what I KNOW I AM STRONGER THEN YOU, and at this point that is all that matters)
 
If mike had posted that Ll Cool J benches 500lbs then no-one would have questioned him, but god forbid he claim a 400 bench in a shirt.. can't be done, surely.

lol THANKS TWEAKLE, means alot. thats what im saying lol hes making it sound that its IMPOSSIBLE for me to hit 400lbs. Meanwhile a benchshirt can help from 50-150lbs if you know how to use it....

Your right tweakle, next summer its 220 or bust. =]

when i want some MILFs i leave the chest hair alone =] younger women seem to like it shaved, while older women like it....got to find the balance!
