No joke, I'm in a book club. Its a good gig, for real. I joined for the chicks of course. I picked Into Thin Air and hosted dinner and drinks tonight. Went through 4 bottles of wine. All this shit was prepared by me:
Drinks: Oregon Pinot Noir, Spanish Wine, Cab of Course, and a California Red Zinfandel. Iced Water. Darjeen Hot Tea (from the Himalayas), Beer, and Milk.
First course:
Mixed Cheese plate - Irish Cheddar, Spanish Manchego, Smoked California Jack (my favorite)
2 types of crackers. Whole Wheat square, flaxseed round.
main course
Brown Basamati Rice (grown in the Himalayas)
Nepalese Curry - this shit was on point, here is the basic recipie.
Onions (diced)
Ginger (grated)
Garlic (my hands still smell)
Tumeric spice
Curry Spice
Corriander seed (ground)
Cumin (lol)
Red Pepper spice
Chickpeas (Garbansos)
Crushed Tomatoes
Cauliflower (cut into tiny florets)
Peas
Light Coconut milk
Vegetable Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
3 lbs of chicken breast! (Organic Free Range, diced into bite sized pieces and marinated overnight in oil, garlic, ginger, and curry spice, BAM!)
^^ shit came out perfect
Dessert, fresh baked dark chocolate chip cookies (seen in picture)
Shit came out perfect!
Here is the pic. Chick is holding up a test I gave on the book to made sure everyone read it. They said it was a "guy book" but all loved it and would reccomend it.
I'm throwing up the EF flex! (just wish my bicep wasn't shrinking!)
