Perceived abuse of moderator power's

There's alot of cripping and crying about some moderators 'abusing' their MOD's power's on these board. Someone wrote in another thread that the member's using the boards would "moderate"the boards themselves by flaming etc..! So we let the lunatics take over the asylum ?.
There WAS a time here when the flaming on all the board, but particularly the anabolic discussion board, would make todays flameing look like childs play.
You guys think RyanH abuses his power's by using this board as his political discussion board (I don't read them as their alittle over my head and don't concern Ireland anyway). At least RyanH is trying to bring some mature thought to the board. Before his Nomination and those of his pers the regular theme which ran through this board was "why do nigger's finger nails grow quicker", "why are asians smelly" and a 'clique' of white supremisy (sp'ing) exited which was operating detrimential to the good running of e/f and our sport.
Thankfully those days are long gone, ok there's still a little gay bashing done, but May1010, JohnnyO and flex1 are well able to match anyone here on an intelect base and make these gay bashing posts authors look like the stupid fucks they are.
If their nominations were so bad and the running of the boards were soo interupted by these perceived abuse of their power's elitefitness would'nt have grown to become THE best bodybuilding, fitness, powerlifting, sports board on the internet. So please consider these facts next time we go 'MOD bashing' again.
Btw this is not a brown nosing, lickass thread. But I'm sick to death of reading these ranting about the MOD's when ALL the MOD's here who've been accused unfairly have stated they'll always own up to their action's, and indeed George recently stated that concerns about deleted thread etc should be brought to his attention for further action.

I rarely bad mouth or really flame mods for their decision, but I will always speak up when I feel they are wrong. It seems many around here have a mindset that mods are almighty and should never be accussed of wrongdoing. Not saying that you are those people. Many seemed to be so scarred to speake their mind, simply for the reason that their thread will be deleted, locked, or they will be banned. When this happens, these people opinions are being thrown out and the mods opinion is set in place. That is wrong in my opinion.

I am 100% against censorship in any regard. I know this is a privately owned site and I recognize that. However, that does not change my opinion regarding censorship, nor will it ever.

Yes your right, speak up when you feel you've been wrong. Censorship should be used wisely, not I don't agree it should be done away with entirely. Otherwise we leave ourselves open to all sorts of idiots and their idiotic ideoledgy (my spelling is shit today !). For instance would you suggest I let my children sit down and watch uncensored TV, or other such rubbish. Ok you might suggest that once things stay within the law their fine, but I think a small bit of censorship, used wisely is a good thing. Of course 'absolute power corrupts absolutely' and thats why George has the final say over the actions of the MOD's here.
As regards speaking out against the mod's, it the critisism is justified then speak your mind.
I happen to think there's a few very bad choices in the last round of mod nomination's, I'm not going to name names right now because I'll miss one or two and the one's I name will feel I'm just picking on them alone !.

That is interesting because it always pains me to make a decision on whether or not to edit, move or delete a thread because of the lashback I expect to receive. Because 75% OF TIME something is done by any Mod someone will start a thread to complain about it.

That's not to say I don't trust my decisions - it's just to point out that there is a thought process, a corncern and a respect for those speaking their minds.

I will, however, close any thread that I happen to notice and feel takes a member - ANY MEMBER - (yes, including myself) and makes them into a punching bad for those in the mood to abuse at random. I have PMed people that I felt were getting verbally attacked to find out whether or not they wished to have the thread closed and to date that has only backfired once.

And BO - while we may not always stay on the same side of the fence I do respect what you have to say and how you choice to express yourself as well as your thoughts on censorship.

Please just see my point of view.

Something I forgot to mention, I also moderate my own post's. Recently I made a thread about a certain lady here, it was supposed to be a fun thread, it was 'hi-jacket' and started turning sour. So I delted the whole thread.
I once made reference to someone else here which was a mistake on my behalf, when it was brought to my attention it was too late for me to delete it myself. I asked a MOD to do it for me.

I know that not EVERY board member likes me or even if they do, they do NOT agree with every decision I make in regards to monitoring the boards and THAT IS COOL WITH ME.

To my knowledge, I have ALWAYS treated ALL of the members with RESPECT.... even MANY of those that have blatantly disrespected me and/or my fellow moderators. But there are times when all hell seems to break loose and someone has to draw the line. We all have the power to "undo" the actions or advocate the actions of the other mods and, of course, GEORGE IS THE GOD AT ELITE (hehehhee).

So, if anyone has a beef with me they can bring it to me and we can discuss it as equals. If they are going to resort to mindless name-calling (and I am not talking about words like "stupid") and outright degradation then I WILL LAY THE SMACK DOWN. For this I make NO APOLOGEES. I admit, that I get VERY DEFENSIVE of women, in general. I have NEVER hid this fact. But on the flip side, if you are an idiot female that makes me ashamed to also be a woman - BEWARE.... I WILL NOT HESITATE TO MAKE YOU EITHER CRAWL AWAY OR MAKE YOU THINK (Something that you have probably NEVER done in your sorry life!)!

I can also agree to disagree with anyone.

Am I perfect? Ummmmmm NO. Am I fair and respectful? I would like to think so.

TO DATE, I HAVE NEVER, EVER HUNG ANY MEMBER OF ELITE OUT TO DRY UNLESS THEY BEGGEDFOR IT FIRST! I have used a tremendous amount of restraint with several board members in the past and as of late. But there comes a time, unfortunately, when some people just do NOT realize when enough is enough. That is where my patience ends and my job begins.

PS - I am disturbed that anyone at elite feels that they should not speak their mind for fear of being banned. I should like to know who they are and why they did not come to me or any of the other moderators..... unless, of course, they could not speak thier minds WITHOUT calling someone a bitch, slut, whore, etc....then they were EXTREMELY WISE to keep thier filthy pieholes SHUT.

I'm pretty new here, but I would like to point out some observations i've made. First, most of the mods here seem pretty cool and i'd be glad to call any of my m8. Secondly, most of the mod bashing here is directed at RyanH. Granted, he may act a little hastily sometimes, he often uses good judgement. There is no point for someone to start a thread simply for the purpose of berating someone, just like its pointless to make a thread about blowing sunshine up someone's ass. For the most part, we are all adults here, so why not act like it, if you have a problem with a decision a mod has made, why not pm them and try to resolve the issue. Some may not agree with me, that's fine, its a free country, but next time think before you start belligerantly hammering a mod, their decision just may have been the correct one.

anyone believing the mods are bad here should try to post on musclemag sometime. If you even have the hint of sarcasm in your post it is deleted. Nothing like that happens here, the mods as I have seen since being here are pretty fair. Not to mention that most of the mods over there dont know what they are talking about.
