Yep. I was on it for 6 years. Ruined my sex drive seemingly permanently. Not to mention trying to come off it. makes you nuts.

Have your doc prescribe a low dose of xanax just for when your anxiety flares up. Works for me.

Dude I was prescribed paxil for about a year because I had anxiety problems, but mine were caused by my unhealthy lifestyle at the time of partying(drinking to much to often). I've also been prescribed effexor, zoloft, anafranil, and a couple others and my advice is to steer clear of anti-depressents they will fuck you up more than you already think you may be.(Most of it is in your head).

If you get anxiety attacks like I do rarely like once a week then just take xanax or Lorazapram. For the immediate attack. I don't know why docs these days are so quick to prescribe anti-depressents, I know a lot of people that have tried them and think they work initially, but soon find out that they have a lot of side effects.
For example Paxil makes my mouth extremely dry and my throat hurt,Zoloft would give me tremors but only in my head so my head would shake and nothing else making me look like I had turet syndrome. And the others would have similar effects including diahreah and headaches, but the voices thing was by far the worst I thought I was gonna kill my family and shit.

I SAY STAY AWAY FROM ANTI-DEPRESSENTS.

Paxil is a lot more dangerous then Doctors know. I was on it for almost 2 years and only made my anxiety worst, especially for the first 3 months.

I've been on Paxil for seven years and as far as I'm concerned it saved my life. Literally.

That said, I don't agree with its use to treat anxiety or panic disorders. It's not really as effective as other drugs out there that have fewer sides.

Ask your doctor about Ativan. It's great anti-anxiety medicine with less sides than an anti-depressant like Paxil. Also, Xanax was mentioned....this is good too, although Ativan is considered a stronger anti-anxiety.

Good luck!

I agree for the most part. Many SSRIs, SNRI's, and MAOIs (most popular "anti-depressants) can also make some people gain weight. Not the good kind either. I found this to be especially true with Paxil. I'm so glad I'm off those damn things.

I'm glad it worked for you, consider your self lucky.

good advice given here. I took some paxil about 3 yrs ago and I was happy until I had a chance to bag this super hot chick that I had been talking to, well, long story short I got the RDB's . That is the rubber dick blues. I could have had snorted viagra and cialis and my johannson would not have stood up. Next time I managed to get hard and had sex for like 2 hrs trying to get off. I couldnt get off at all, ever. Needless to say, I stopped taking that stuff with a quickness. I use a little xanax when I get anxious or uneasy and that too is what I suggest. :)

I've taken Paxil, Prozac, Effexor, Zoloft, Buspar, Doxepin, Clonazepam. The one that really helps me is the clonazepam (spelling?) It kicks in quickly and helps me sleep...that's mainly what I needed anti-anx/dep meds for originally. It's hard to get the right "one" at the "right" dose. It is hard to get off them, but I agree that if you have the problem DO NOT ignore it and try to do it cold turkey on your own. Tried it, didn't work for me. I guess it depends on the individual. Taking gear has not affected me anx/dep. wise at all, which i was worried about. My libido was affected by several of those listed above...but I seem to be doing ok now with the stuff im taking.

One of my regulars at the bar I work at gave me some her clonazepam when I had insomnia from tren this past summer. great stuff, Took it recreationally a few times just to go into a chilled out totally relaxed zone. Loved it.

kloninpin/clonazepam is the best benzo imo, little withdrawl little chance of addiction. good stuff to have handy when androgens run rampid.

I am on paxil know @30mg a day have been know for about three years,i think my chances of coming off this drug are very low as withdrawl kills me i feel angry anxious and confused after only 3 days with no tablets,i have no side effects untill i stop taking them . I had real bad anxiety and panic attacs ,could have been due to HEAVY drug abuse when i was younger but thats another story
I was back to my normal self after three weeks of paxil and have not had anxity since so its not all bad(you have to look on the bright side)
paxils worst listed side effect -production of breast tissue and/or milk in men!!

Yup. I should have added earlier that I've had a script for klonipin for seven years as well and that is the drug I use to treat anxiety, not my Paxil.

One more thing: I started off on Paxil at 30mgED, then once my symptoms of depression subsided, was gradually able to reduce it over the course of years. I can now get by on only 10mgED, which has virtually no sides.

I was 19 when I was on Paxil. It made me suicidal. STAY AWAY! I lost my job, gf and a lot of respect. I was out of control. It is convenient now that the SSRIs are being marked not to give to teens. Too bad no one told me that before, I would have scars on my wrists. STAY AWAY!

2mg=8+ hours of sleep easily

I agree, I've been on almost every anti-D and anti-psychotic commonly prescribed, and I have to say they all suck! Sexual side effects, worse mood problems than before, worse insomnia, etc. Best thing I ever used was klonopin, I had a script for it for about a year, but when I moved I never got another script for it. Sigh, it's not addictive to me, I had no problems stopping it cold turkey, but sometimes it'd be nice to have again when I'm just this damn bored :)

Somehow I don't think dropping Paxil and adding tren is going to make things better!!!!

Agreed.

I've been on Paxil for two years (for anxiety induced depression). It undoubtedly saved my life. I was very suicidal before being treated with Paxil.

If I was to drop Paxil and start taking Tren... I'd end up in one of three places:
1.) An insane assylum
2.) Jail
3.) Dead

I steer clear of strong androgens because I know they aggravate my anxiety. Test is most androgenic drug I'll use. I avoid Tren, Drol, Dbol, and Halo. I recommend you do the same.

Although this is a little off the topic, SSRI anti-depressants, of which Paxil is one, have been shown to increase cortisol levels. Cortisol, as we know, is a catabolic hormone. The only anti-depressant known that decreases cortisol is Remeron by Organon.

I've been on Paxil for 8+ years and it has done wonders for my anxiety. Before I would break out into a sweat within an hour of being in a crowded place.

I know you may have been on it to long to judge, but I'll ask anyway. Have you noticed that you've gained any weight [fat] or harder to keep it off? All SSRI's, SNRI's, MAIO's made me blow up.

throw all the SSRIs in the trash. Deal with your problem face on. Leave the gear and other substances for now and focus on your longterm health. Paxil made me suicidal at 19. Now they put a warning on it saying it is not for teens. I wish someone would have told me that before so I didn't have so many skeletons in my closet and so much guilt. STAY away, the reprecussions on my paxil experience will honestly haunt me for the rest of my life.

Dude if you're suicidal...you need EVERYTHING BUT nothing. Someone needs to slam some pills down your throat so you can get your wits back. PS give out some karma. You are right about the "Deal with your problem face on. Leave the gear and other substances for now and focus on your longterm health." part but....taking paxil doesn't endanger your longterm health. Gear does though. Not sure if that's what you were talking about. Anyway, going cold turkey off some meds and playing doctor with yourself is actually endangering your longterm health which appears to be a reality in your case.

Halo isn't androgenic in fact its all anabolic.

WRONG! EXTREMELY WRONG!

Halo is an extremely powerful androgenic. Check you facts...

Now on to Paxil...I've been using Paxil over two years and love the stuff. Yea, it fucks up my sex life a little, but I can live with that. I use to be unbearable to be around. I was one sour basturd. I also had gone through a year of alpha-2a-peg-intron interferon injections for hepatitus C and I would have some of the worst friggin' anxiety attacks. Paxil changed me so much, my wife begged my doctor to never take me off of it. LOL

I tried stopping cold turkey once. Needless to say, that was a mistake. What a mind fuck...

Unless you've taken it, how would you know? I have. Ask a doctor, psychologist or physichiatrist about "Long Term Effects"

I have taken it. Withdrawl took months to recover from. The side-effects were awful. SSRIs haven't been around very long. Even doctors admit they don't know for sure of the long-term effects. I think doctors have been handing these out like candy. The pros often times do not come close to outweighing the cons. In many cases just making things worse.

Either way I'm not arguing that it's worked well for you. You said it has and that's great. I just think they are marketed a bit too hard and many people are uninformed of the potency of these drugs. Especially taken daily for years on end.

You’re completely wrong! I was on Paxil for over 2 years, and at the beginning, for 2 months, it fucked me up in ways I could never imagine. I thought about crap I wouldn’t normally think about, some real twisted crap. Due to it’s sever withdraw symptoms It took an entire year of constant struggle to get of this medication. People who were prescribed this medication for anxiety or panic disorders were all suddenly faces with shit load of new problems, which cause many of them to commit suicide.

Slamming pills is not always the answer.

I checked and your right however it doesn't seem to make sense since it doesn't build water weight or even gain in bodyweight. I always thought of a-bombs, dbol, test as andro's

Ive just started a sust250@1ml ew and only had 2 shots but can feel the differance sex drive is up,not raging sex but deffenetly on the up ,no major streanth gains but my workouts have a lot more bite :chomp: so far so good
PAXIL CAN CAUSE PRODUCTION OF BREAST TISSUE AND MILK IN MEN :worried:

It's been proven that coming off Paxil is by far the worst. I also have tried almost SSRI that exist and all have some type of side effect that just doesn't seem to be worth it. I started my journey of SSRI's in 1998 and once again am trying to go with nothing. I have just quit Paxil again, slowly tapering down as discussed with my doc. Have only been off for 3 days so far. I hate feeling like a zombie with no libido and my wife didn't like that part of me either. I hope I can deal with things this time and stay off eveything.

Good luck bro! I was on Paxil for 6 years and had the hardest time coming off. I tapered down over a few months. I have now been off that shit for 2-3 years and my sex drive has still not fully recovered. Started HRT 2 weeks ago and things are definately starting to pick up :) Girlfriend is happier than ever.
