Overtraining question

Does anyone know if a overtrained state can play with thyroid hormone balance and/or production? Reason i ask is because while i have been training natural for the past 2 years i will make excellent gains in size usually for the first 4-8 weeks but then while keeping my diet exactly the same i will still make small size gains but my % of bodyfat will start to increase and i will slowly become bloated. This just completly bafels me. Does anyone have any input?

I am currently holding my thyroid suspect due to the fat gain. Also when i tried cardio and eca my waist line grew with a vengance. So i just gave up and went on vacation for 2 weeks. Ate normal meals and layed around doing nothing....And and lost 15lbs of fat, my face shrunk so much that i looked like a different person in photos. Again i am completely lost as to what the hell is going on. I doubt it's overtraining because i can still make progress, have energy, sleep well and get great pumps when this is happening, So WTF?.

PS.
Training was 5 days per week 25-30min per session. excellent diet.

interesting....

yes, it happened to me also.....
I believe it has something to do with cortisol levels, not thyroid, IMO.
You know, in an overtrained state your body produces more cortisol than ussual, and cortisol reatain water.
