Its just reported more and becomes a bigger news story. If some girl gets sexually assaulted by some jobless moron in atlanta she has nothing to gain by reporting it. However, if she gets sexually assualted by kobe bryant or iverson, or tyson she can make millions on a lawsuit.

Why do you expect ever sports figure to be a role model? i never realized that because you can hit a baseball 400 feet you immediately become a good person. This is a non story and your lame article was from 7 years ago. there are thousands upon thousands of baseball, football, golf, and hockey players in the pros and in college. And you only have a few incidents a year. what that tells me is that 99 percent of all athletes are good people. Just a few are bad. But that is to be expected. And if you read your article most of those people were just charged and not convicted. Anyone can say "kobe raped me", but to prove that it happened is another story.
