Not true... There is a way to be proud of your ethnicity or whatever group you identify yourself with without putting other people down.
I grew up in a school system where I was odd man out because I was white, so trust me when I tell you I know what it is like to be discriminated agaisnt. When I went to high school is was a catholic school with all the white kids, like me. NOT - I was too poor and too "hispanic looking" not to mention that I was "the wrong religion."
For me it is not about the color of someone's skin or their religion or ethnicity, etc but about the content of their character - period. Sorta like Dr King's philosophy... no?
Those kids were just acting plain dumb. Do I find it offensive? Not sure really. I found it more embarrassing than anything else.
