OT:Remember my thumb?

I dislocated it almost 2 weeks ago, well, when i went to the doctor we took x-rays and he said it was a sprain, well he just called back and said he found a hairline fracture at the base of my thumb......this makes my sooo mad, especially when they werent even gonna take x-rays to begin with.
 
sorry man........... how did you compete with that thing???........ was it not killing you on the duckwalk and herc hold???

it was hurting like a bruise.....but now its hurting even more now that i know its officially broken...im geting ready to go back to the doc now.
 
damn, I would be real pissed off. hope it heals well. guess no pulling motions in the gym.... hmmm tons of squats and pressing motioins ahead huh?
 
hmmmmm what if you used straps...and took your thumb off the bar with like 75% of your regular pulling motion work sets

or if you don't want to do that just do the smolv squat program and you might benifit from that if you don't want to work upper at all

Winters you are a warrior. This thumb can set you back in very minor ways. You will be building your legs in the meantime i hope.

The log will be there for you in the end.

Rest, heal and good luck witrh being careful in the meantime. I broke both my thumbs and I kept on banging them into things. Broke both my big toes too! Toes are worse but you use your thumb for everything. Interesting really. Sorry for the rant brother and get that heal on.
 
OR

you can just do good mornings in place of deadlifts

and seated pully rows with 4 fingers and no thumb
 
just got back from the doc....He said it cracked when the tendon started to pull away. Im gonna do some AR work, but next week im gonna hit it hard, thanx for the advice everyone!!!!!!
