Herpes Simplex I and II are similar but different. Both can be treated by the same meds though. She does not have to be having an outbreak for her to be able to infect you either. I would suggest she see a Dr. and start taking something like Valtrex so that her outbreaks are as far apart as possible.

All that said, when you get horny and she's in the mood too, you know you are going to do it anyway. After all, Herpes isn't that bad, right?

You can use a dental dam to perform cunnilingus. Otherwise, it isn't ever 100% safe with her.

Just because there is no outbreak does not mean it is not contagious. Any contact with the infection can spread to any part of your body.
