I was talking to this skinny fag in the gym who just took wellness and fitness, and he's telling me that you should wait only 20-30 seconds to induce more growth hormone. I said there's more to weightlifting than growth hormone and should wait longer. Who's right? Can you tell me the details on growth hormone and when it kicks in (I thought when you sleep)?
 
Yes more growth hormone would be released in short rest periods however its insignificant to overall growth. Rest untill you feel ready for your next lift thats of foremost importance. Don't worry too much on this max growth hormone release when ect.. its never enough to make serious impact on your progress. Can't tear the fibres down if theres no energy to make em work.
 
tell him to rest 20-30 seconds between his bicep curls while you wait 2 min between big heavy squats....then see who has more gh flowin. hehe.
