omega 3's & 6's

juve said:
hemp seed oil is inferior to both fish and flax. the only reason why it appeared on the horizon is because of its GLA content :o
for o3's go for flax/fish :martini:

Ummm, I beg to differ considering I have a printout of lab results showing the various contents of each oil. Hempseed oil far exceeds both oils. I will make a concerted effort to find it again as it is buried in the mess I call home.

Keep in mind that many organizations in the US shit on hemp products because of the obvious stigma. I know in Canada where we are less paranoid about hemp products (although thanks to pressure from the US our spineless politicians are buckeling) hemp products are quite in fashion and taking a strong hold of many markets.

Anyway, in my disagreement with your post I will endeavor to find my information showing the values of these oils and their Omega contents.

Hemp oil would be your best choice if it were your only source of fat

But since you're already taking fats from others foods (which are rich in omega 6s) you just need some extra omega 3s

O.K. well I guess it's a battle of references then cause mine says quite the opposite. I know this cause it shocked me when I read the results. It may have something to do with a brand's processing procedure as well.

As I said I'll see if I can find mine. I was talking to the Health Food Lady last week too and mentioned HO and she spouted right out that she'd take that over UDO's or Flax.

I take UDOs and flax and Hemp oil (not all at once or same day). I just have them all in my fridge. UDO's and Flax are both great I'm not shitting on them. If I was looking for O3's I'd focus on the HO though despite that link.

It's the same ol bullshit anyway. One study says this, the other says that, etc.

I'll dig em out.
