It's pretty obvious that this chick is in it for the flirting/fun/attention. She's one of those chicks that you don't talk to at the bar until closing time - a "get her at the right time" type of poobah. Act like it's no big deal (better yet, make sure she sees you interacting with other girls). She'll come chasing eventually.

if you follow calveless wonders advice and snap her into place at this point, youre going to lose her. how much has she invested in you in terms of time/emotion? enough that shes going to alter her behaviour for you? no way. put the hard word on her and shes going to think youre needy, the fun will flow out of your interactions, positive emotional connections will not be made and youre going to blow out.

hrmm...interesting perspective. you do make a valid point about how she has nothing invested in it...but my reasoning comes from the fact if she commited to something (although tihs wasn't a real date, which certainly bodes with your theory come to think of it), that's a disrespect of your time. whenever people flake (business, women, whatever) if you calmly let them know that's not acceptable behavior because its a disrespect of your time, they usually feel like idiots and are completely apologetic after realizing what they did and shows them that you don't let people walk over you. alot of people just think they can get away with it.getting emotional is usally what conveys needyness.

youre right, but you do it when your value is already high enough

if she was willing to walk out on him halfway through an interaction, its fair to say that her perception of his value at this point is lower than it needs to be

you can snap them into place early and set limits etc etc, but you need to have some other hook to pump your value/the fun factor in the interaction immediately eg a famous actor or nightclub manager can snap women into line quickly cos their value/interestingness overrides the negative feeling that results from you telling them off and keeps the interaction flowing. try do that when youre mr nobody and shes gone.

since patsfan lives nextdoor and already has rapport etc etc theres no need to play such a high risk game imo. ride the comfort wave to get her into set, keep her in set, demonstrate value, pump BT, transition sexually, close.

im only generally such a bastard when im either playing numbers or cutting dead wood (giving girls a last chance to decide to have sex with me or begone)

Dude I was far from needy in the garage situation.

Here's how it played out.

I was disgustingly dirty in grease and oil. (For the s)

I was putting together tool cabinets and working on my motorcycle.

She walks by, we chill, she goes to her place grabs a bottle of wine all the while watching me work, us talking, her handing me tools and getting me beers. She was very touchy feely. I was basically busting on her all night. I was in 100% control the entire night until she got a surprise visit by that douchebag.

I'm not trying to go off.. you were sounding needy.. in the post to us... "should you be pissed she picked someone other than you???"


that is the issue, you feel she dumped you for another guy... there was no you and her.. you are a neighbor..

By you using the term "douchbag" to describe her other guys she is interested in, that tells us you are insecure.. or maybe she likes douchbags, and not guys that are strong and secure..

who knows..

I'm not coming down on you, i'm just saying that you need to relax..

remember women are like guys, they want what they can't have more than what they can get..

Ok, well there are A LOT OF "I" in your post, but here is my take on it (and get ready cause this will be the best advice)

PLAY IT COOL! She is into you, but she's now single and prob just wants to have some fun.
If you really like her, keep flirting and showing interest then when the time is right, ask her over for sups or a beer.
Take it slow and play it cool.......chasing her will make her run!

now, it sounds like the girl is attracted to you, or at least, interested enough that shes going to keep interviewing you, which means she will probably respond to you inviting her places/engineering meetups.

so what you need to do is keep doing what you were doing before. youre busy. youre popular. you have so much shit happening in your life you couldnt really care that the girl next door is a 9, you have another 10 9s waiting for you elsewhere that you need to try see tonight. keep busting on her in a fun way. keep her having fun with you. - but at the same time, you need to get an excuse to get her over again to spend time with you, so that she can start investing emotionally and you can actually game her properly.

let her see that youre the best option available, let her decide taht she likes you/being around you, and then as soon as you know shes decided that youre sexually attractive and she wants you, TAKE CONTROL (because hot girls generally wait for a man to take the lead and seldom do so themselves) and throw her into bed with teh quickness

This is 1,000% how I play the game. I've got zero emotionally invested.
