It seems the gov't is trying to make us feel guilty about drug purchases by suggesting that the money somehow ends up in the hands of terrorists. How about this--"If you buy FUCKING GASOLINE, you may be supporting a terrorist"??? I bet I won't see that one on TV anytime soon, probably because the oil tycoons that own the gov't and media don't want that to speed the development of alternatives to fossil fuels. There are Major Problems Here

I immigrated to the US....

I was even a member of the US armed forces.....
But I am now thinking about moving away.....and the reasons are many. Its still an awesome place to live in terms of availability of land, jobs, etc. But most people here compared to other places are not people I would like to spend my time with.....here's some of the reasons.

1.) People here don't talk!!! (sounds weird to someone who never travels)...but they dont. We get in our cars, drive to work, drive home, visit single-serving stores/restaurants. Growing up in Europe I was used to meeting people in public (streets, cafe shops, etc etc... and talking about anything and everything. Even if you DO have a conversation here its usually superficial (TV shows etc...) for fear that you may not be perceived as being "cool".

Consequently we don't talk and let the media tell us what is right/wrong...the way things are....and we let MTV tell us what is cool. Basically IDIOT MORONIC CRIMINALS a.k.a. rappers bullshitting about the same crap in every song.

*Personal favorite: Is how we keep pushing for money for schools because our kids suck in school.....heres a thought...schools aren't at fault. Maybe its the whole Hip Hop generation attitude of lets get fucked up, keep it real and don't do shit...(very condusive to success..right? )

2.) People make laws as they see fit in order to get money and get reelected. (And by grace of my previous point of us not talking among each other and forcing change....how do you think revolutions get started) we are letting them. They WILL MAKE ANY LAW to appease old, rich people who donate to compaigns.

Case in Point: Why do you think most bars/clubs close at 2??? Because old people want them to. Did you ever think thats worse for Drinking/Driving?? People slamming shots right before 2 because they're not ready to go home yet. Would that still happen at 5am...probably not.

3.) Obesity....VERY fucking gross if you ask me. I am scared to even marry a woman here. Just about every middle age woman I see is overweight. Girls here only look good in highschool and at the beginning of college. I am currently in college....all of the sorority girls I hang out with have a regimen: They go to parties/bars and drink beer and then hit the pizza by the slice parlor on the way home......spells: FAT by senior year.

4.) I'll have to agree with a previous post...there is NO such thing as the best country in the world. Its all relative as to what you want/need. And its very annoying when some fat lazy moron who has never seen a real oil paining, roman ruins, the chinese wall, an opera, a live theatre play, or an ancient mosque or ANYTHING for that matter beats his drum...the US is the BEST, the US is the BEST. Ignorance.........

The biggest thing that gets me down about the US is that I see it getting worse before it gets better (in terms of people). Just wait until the HipHop generation takes the proverbial reigns of this country. They have no morals...just eazy money and bullshit. Crime will get worse, music will continue to suck (thanks MTV...) and corporations will continue to screw us until something terribly goes wrong.

Nothing will change until the average citizen become a leader and voices his or her opinion and changes things for the better.
