Oestrogen and Progesterone levels

I know the lymph system does not have a circulation method and that massage helps to push it around and get the toxins moving through the system. That's why we always tell people to drink lots of water to clean them out ofthe system. I can't tell you how many clients get sick from not following that advice.

At the time I started logging on this board I had a course of lymphatic massage. The masseur warned me during the first session that I may be sick in the next week, that I should drink plenty of water. I didn't believe her - after all the massage was really a "light touch".

But yes, I was sick. Very strong cold/chest infection type symptoms which lasted nearly 6 weeks overall. I was stunned to be honest. We stopped the lymph massage when I didn't feel like shit the following day. I now continue with remedial massage every 1/2 weeks. I get my insurance company to cover most of the cost.

My diet has been clean (well, ahem, 75% of the time :worried: ) since then and I have not been physically ill in 4 months. That is a record for me. I do put this down to my change in lifestyle and I am very sure that the lymph massage started me off the right way.

Yeah I'm still doing my research I keep hearing different things to look up so I have a huge list I'm involved with. I like doing research especially if it's something that affects me and probably more people. Like any other job I believe most docs don't do thorough research and try to fix a problem with the anecdote rather then figure out the signs and symptoms and then diagnose. They have it all backwards. So if you go back without the problem then you are diagnosed as yep you must have had what I thought you did rather then make sure it really was...
Anywho... Time for a new topic post...

Treilin, just re-read your post. You'll have no problem eating clean shopping in Whole Foods, that's where I shop.

Yeah, synthentic BCP, poison, shit, garbage.

If you haven't already, check out Dr. John Lee's book, "What your doctor may not tell you about premenopause," Synthetic hormones are just horrible.

I was just reading something by Dr. Lee. it was regarding using progesterone to get rid of ovarian cysts. I wonder if that works....better than surgery that is for sure.

O.k. so I found this lengthy article and thought I would share... It was great reading and the website seems pretty informative!

This one imparticular is about estrogen dominance and decreased levels of progesterone. Which is not good if you are trying to lose weight, and/or gain muscle. It has a nice diagram showing how hormones are linked. So if Progesterone is low, estrogen is high, then testosterone is also low because progesterone is a precursor hormone to testosterone also. It also talks about what I was saying in a earlier response about estrogen also being taken in through things that we eat. It suggests ways you can protect yourself from some things you may not be aware of. Like I heat my food up in plastic containers in the microwave which can increase xenoestrogens ( a type of carcinogen) in the body... Now I know this is not a good thing... Who knew?!?

This was another good article about DHEA, and DHEA supplementation. I think most of us have some sort of DHEA decrease with all of the stress we are under.
I like that site because they give you the pro's and con's of supplementing, and alternative methods.
