Obscene hair loss

I've been on a cycle of 400mg EQ and 250mg test enanthate for 3 weeks. Actually only been on the test for 2 weeks. Well my hair is shedding like crazy now, and I never had a problem with anything before except minor shedding on winny. But this shit is ridiculous.

I have hairs wrapped all around my fingers when I'm done shampooing it. And it seems like the hair is falling out all over, even though it was most noticeable by the temples at first. So maybe this is telogen effluvium rather than normal MPB (androgenic alopecia). I also see the white bulb on the end of the hairs, so that also leads me to think it's TE. But I also hear that TE is pretty rare.

I've been using 2% Nizoral and 5% spironolactone cream for about 4 days now, and obviously it's too early to tell if it's working, but my hair is still falling out a bunch.

Has anyone experienced this same sort of hairloss, but had success in treating it? I know TE can be caused by excess androgens, but I don't know how much these typical MPB products help.

It's starting to be much more noticeable now even though it's been falling out for nearly 2 weeks now. I just had very thick hair to begin with. I'm thinking I'll have to drop the test, and this will be the last time I ever use it :bawling:
Such great gains, but I can't lose my hair, even if it was going to grow back afterwards.

Bummer, hope things work out so you don't have to drop the test. I really don't have advice as far as the hair loss goes just keep using the cream , try some nixoral shampoo, it comes with this lotion I use. Don't really know how good it's working though. I also use a thickening shampoo and conditioner from american crew that comes with a thickening lotionas well you use it like gel it seems to be working allright. BIGBIZ

Invest in some Avodart. It's a long term solution, not a short
term solution, but it is very effective.

i had the same sort of problem,

I seem to have fixed it however by taking Saw Palmetto and using Regaine Extra Strength (5% Minoxidil) twice a day.

Hope this helps man

It's rare in the general population. they don't bathe in androgens :D . Its like saying being drunk is rare. unless you drink.

As to minimizing loss from TE, some background- ususally a TE occurs MONTHS after the prcipitating event (severe diet, shock, surgery, non-androgen drug, etc). IOW, great percentage of the hair forced to telogen phase, then remains in head (but prob more dead/dry/lifeless than ususal) until follicle goes into anagen phase, and the new growing hair pushes the telogen hair out, producing the appearance of a diffuse shed. My theory on the quick sheds that happen on juice is that the inflamation at the bulb that DHT and other androgens cause (which I actually feel as scalp "pain") causes the now-telogen hair to shed immediately (squezed out/ejected instead of pushed out).

My experience has been that reducing the inflamatory process both reduces total eventual shed, and delays/staggers the fallout so that you might avaoid looking like a dog with mange.

For this, you might consider adding some form of topical copper peptide product (folligen) for it's anti-inflamatory protection at hair follicle to cover all the bases (I found this to be useful).

Whatever hair has already been forced into telogen phase is going to shed eventually, but the sooner you stop the test &/or reduce the insult, the less you'll lose short term and long-term.

as to getting it back, obviously add minoxidil, and continue the spiro (consider add propecia). also, this part is just my opinion and personal experience, anything you can do to rev up metabolism and increase GH will expedite the regrowth process (faster anagen-telogen-cycles). this includes some cardio if you're not already doing, and maybe Var. (ever notice how your hair and nails seem to grow faster on var?)

another thing to consider on regrowth is that if you are still young and prone to MPB, each androgen induced shed will accelerate the process of your genetically predetermined balding. iow, you may not get any balder than you otherwise would have been, you'll just get there faster. the spiro/propecia/minox protocol will of course mitigate this.

I really hope I see some results from this Nizoral and Spironolactone. I just got my hair cut short so the cream can rub in better. I had some nice long curly locks before. I'm like a fucking case study for all the side effects of AAS.

nah bro, you're probably only one of the brave ones to admit you're losing your hair!!! the nizoral will help things out, did with me...good luck...

does this also hold true for TE? If one were to shed a couple of months post cycle (like I always do), does this mean every post cycle shedding will shrink the follicle?

assuming you're not using the hair meds, I'd say the answer is yes. usually until you get to whatever your bald "setpoint" is, each non-med-assisted regrowth from a TE will probably yield finer and finer hair as miniaturization progresses (how depressing).:(
