Oatmeal and...

what do you guys add to oatmeal? EAting it straight is pretty painful. I am sure adding a boat load of sugar would help but i am trying to cut out that crap. thanks
 
Ever try Grits? They have about the same amount of nutrients but are 100x better tasting. I don't know how much better Oatmeal is for you, but if I can't eat it I don't, and usually find another source.
 
I add a scoop of protein powder. It sounds weird but it actually tastes good. I eat pretty much to sustain myself, not so much for flavor, but I like it. I get my protein plus some good carbs.
 
I use 2 servings plain quaker state oatmeal, 1 scoop Optimum Whey protein, and 1/2 cup frozen blueberries. Made with 1 1/3 cup skim milk.
 
I add 1/2 a scoop of Bannana Flavor Protien to every 2 servings. I don't bother cooking it though, I just put the oatmeal in milk, add the banna protein, stir it up and eat.

It tastes sooo damn good. Even if I didn't give a damn about my health I think if I had discovered this I would be eating it still.
 
i eat my oatmeal the same every morning:

1.5 cups of water
1 cup oatmeal
2 scoops whey
1 tbsp flax
1 tbsp nat pb
1 packet equal

Blend that sucker up, I guarantee you'll love it. Drinking oatmeal is easier than eating it.
 
Try adding to oat meal whey powder and a banana with some raisins,use water to mix if you dont want the calories.Yummy!!!:p
 
Dice up half an apple and add lots of cinnamon ... no need to add any sugar, as it'll taste great as is.
 
I usually have oatmeal not cooked combined with lots of raisins and a 26 serving g of my protein powder. Just add water and tastes great.

quaker state oatmeal??? is that 10w30 or 10w40? :D

Seriously, I throw about two packets of sweet-n-low in per serving of oatmeal. It really makes it yummy!

Have you ever tried malt-o-meal? I have some friends that swear by it.
 
Ever try Stevia? Tastes like sugar..not chemically made or ketosis threat. You can get almost anywhere now, look where healthfoods are sold
 
Natural Peanut butter is good. You can also try a tbsp of Honey, i use that post workout and it works very well for me. I will be using Dextrose starting next week though.(just to try something new)

well i have been going with the cinnamon and it certainly helps. But today I didnt have my bowl at work so i had to eat the oatmeal dry which wasnt pleasant until i decided to pour some cinnamon in the packet and shake it up. It wasnt half bad.
