oat bran vs oat meal

raw oats are actually very good for you. they are one of the few things that contain beta glucan.

the problem with oatmeal is that people want something sugary that tastes good, so they will buy those packets with sugar in them. the calories are ridiculous in them!

so what you need to do is get raw oats and sweeten it with maybe whey isolate which has stevia.. that is a good idea.
 
Oat Bran is a better choice, as it has more nutrients and fibers, so it is always a healthier choice. It may not be as tasty in its original state, but then again, you can add some protein for the taste, making a good balance between carbs and protein.
