numbness in hands and arms falling asleep at night

ok i am on my fifth week of deca. I gained 8 lbs so far. But in the last couple of weeks ive been noticing a slight numb feeling in my right hand. if i fall asleep on my arm it falls asleep really easy and i wake up and cant move it untill the circulation comes back. It use to happen before my cycle every great while. But now its been happening every night. I have to sleep with my arm on my stomack for it not to happen. I was just curious what was the reason for this.

There was another thread a couple weeks ago specifically related to this subject....

I will see if I can dig it up for you.

Eh, happens to me almost every night.

Must be naturally high T levels... speculation, no clue. I need to remember to bring it up to my doc. or google it when I have free time (hint... do the same).

i have the same issue. go to your doc and ask him to give you some anti-inflamatories. mine was a pinched nerve.

i was scared shitless that i was having a stroke. it just recently started again and it has gotten so bad that i can't even shut off my alarm clock when it rings.

just one option you may wanna chack out bro

its bad circulation.. I get it all the time .. I dont think you should worry to much.. its probably how u sleep..

are you a big guy? i get this all the time if i sleep in certain positions.im 285lbs.22 in arms.my hands go numb all the time lol.

but i would monitor your blood pressure just to be safe.

its either BP or dead arm, when I was training in college i got symptoms like that on my right arm, they got worse and it was to the point to where i couldnt lift my arm all the way, i was informed that i was working out too hard, and to keep better hydration with liquids that have electrolytes, i lightened up my workouts, and in about a week or 2 it was normal, Dont know if this has anything at all to do with you, but, it was a similar experience, so theres my .02

skippy, are you also using gh with your cycle? The symptoms you describe are very common with gh use.

ditto had same on gh...eventually subsided...was running with cyp...bp was up little...also water weight didnt help...

My arms started to go numb after I hit 18". Try putting a pillow on your chest and sleeping with your arms crossed over the pillow. Helps me out. Keeps your arms straightened so there is no blood restrictions. Just a thought. Could also be what one of the other guys added in.

I went see my neurosurgeon for the same thing. After a MRI, it was discovered that I had a bulging disc that was pinching the radial nerve.

Pinched nerve here also. Would happen if I slept on my arm.

Happened once in my right hand. Too much time using the mouse online. :)

Went away with no explanation.

I guess we all have the same issues. I used to have the same problem as well when I was taking deca and pretty much everything else. I DID go see a doctor and I was told one that it had to do with my blood pressure but two I working out so intensely that I was developing stress fractures in my forearms, kinda the same as shin splints. This was also causing the numbness in my arms.

Basically put, it will go away, a short trip to the doc to check the BP is a definite must but I really think it's the price you pay to grow. Hell who needs your arms when you sleep anyway. I say they sleep along with me so I can pound the shit out of em the next day. Lol. Just a thought.

Holy cow, I was just about to post up a thread about this same problem....lol. I haven't been on AAS for almost 2 years now, but I have been making some nice gains since starting my collegiate football training. I've gone from 205-210 up to 225lbs now.....and since then, both my arms and/or hands go numb pretty much every night. I'm definitely thinking that this is a weight gain issue, as I've never weighed 225lbs before. I'm heading to the my Doc's office this week, and I'll let you know what he says. Good luck, bro.

Man! this has been happening to me.. this orning was the worst and the scariest.. i sleep with my arm under my pillow and have for a very long time cant really sleep any other way.. It used to go numb and get tinlgy when on.. not the end of the worl but this morning when i woke my hand was DEAD! i could not move it m my wrist or fingers as hard as i tried i was almost a look into whaty it's like to be paralyzed.. i was telling my brain to move my wrist or fingers and they would not... i staryed shaking my arm and doing curls to pump blood in and my wrist was flopping around like a dead fish .... talka bout scared then about 1-2 mins later i got movement back..

What the hell causes this? I used to think the falling asleep and numb part was from increased vascularity and less bf covering my veins etc...on primo now

That's happened to me me a few times. My arm went completely numb to the point that I rolled over and my hand hit my face and I thought it was someone in be with me. It scared the hell out me, I tried to throw it off me before realizing it was my own arm. Very strange feel having no feeling at all and your arm floppin like a dead fish.

Sounds Like TOS...Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Usualy tight Scalens.

If you can pinpoint the numbness to specific fingers or which sides of the hand and arm, this can help with an impingment diagnosis, either wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck.

wow i know EXACTLY what u mean i hit myself inm the face with my hand too... it's just wild having no concept of where or what your hand is doing.. it's generall entire arm elbo down

It still happens to me on average per week 5 mornings. Been happning to me most of my life... so i usually forgetabout it after i get feeling back, lol. Never think to bring it up to the med. doc. Gotta remember when I go next.

DrDug: It's my WHOLE arm... entire hand, entire foream, bi, tri... delts too... just dead for about 15 seconds after i wake up and use my other arm to flop it around and wake it up... scary sometimes.

Chances are the impinging is at the shoulder...start stretching your upper traps, lev. scap. and your scalenes muscles. this will help with the tightness but you are gonna need some muscle work to break up the scar tissue thats grabbing the nerves and vessels.

this has been happening to me alot over the past few days. especially after i drink. im on 500mg test e a week. should i see a doctor or wait it out

Hey bro your responding to a thread that hasn't seen action since 06, but no I wouldn't see I Dr. just yet if its only been going on a few days most likely you tweaked a nerve or blood vessel. Give it a week or so it should work itself out if not pm me back and I'll help you out. If this is your first run I'm impressed not to see 3 or 4 chems. Test is the best for a first run.
Peace, Forged

Drink alcohol?
Some one I know drank too much and got nerve damage from it in their arms and legs. Apparently it leaches vitamins like B12 out of your body...
just a thought...
good luck, see a doctor too though!
