Not gaining weight

Hey guys, first post here, I've been lurking for a while but there's almost too much to read that I'm getting lost trying to learn as much as I can. I'm 6'2" 200lbs and I've been at that same weight give or take 5lbs since starting to lift back in December. I'm hoping it's just that I'm losing the beer gut and tacking on muscle, but there's always the age-old saying that muscle weighs more than fat so I'm wondering what's going on. My workout schedule 3 days on/2 days off. I drink a 50g ON 100% whey shake a day, sometimes twice a day, and 7g of Pro lab creatine a day. I try and run on my days off, but it's hard to get motivated to do that sometimes (I hate running). I try to eat eggs in the morning, but I'm not gonna lie the diet is harder to maintain than the actual lifting part, so instead of chicken and rice I'm eating pizza and burritos. Well it's not quite that bad, but I really could get better with eating healither. But then again, eating junk I figured I'd be gaining weight just based upon eatting fatty foods, but I guess not. Your thoughts or suggestions?

PS. Lifting was one of the best choices I've ever made, I just wish I would have started earlier (I'm 21) I'm slowly seeing results and it really puts a smile on my face to be comfortable with what I see in the mirror for the first time in my life. I find myself more excited about lifting today than I did when I first started.

Bro, its good that you got into the gym, and its never to late. first thing is write up a diet and stick with it no matter if you have to whip yourself with a belt to stay away from other shit. Diet is by far the hardest thing, but one of the most important. You have to have a good diet, a steady work out schedule, and a good rest cycle.

If your trying to gain mass, cardio is deffinatly NOT going to help you.
I am 6' about 195, I eat 3 solid meals a day, and drink 3 shakes a day, and dont do any cardio, and I still struggle on gaining weight, so it takes alot to gain TRUE mass. The best thing is to start a journal, like so many have here, and keep track of your routine, what you eat, what supplements you take and when. and it will help you learn from your expiences, and find what works for you.
just stay dedicated, and clean up that diet!!!!

Pizza and burrito diet isnt going to help you put on too much muscle.

Like I said, that's not really my diet, I try to normally eat healthy, but sometimes I'll grab something greasy. Eating healthy can get expensive at times, and also time consuming.

I think I'm gonna try and get closer to the 1g of protein/1lb of body weight, because I'm not even close now and try and watch what I eat a little bit more.

If you are trying to gain muscle I would up the protien intake more than 1/1.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'm sure it seems obvious that I'm fairly new to this stuff, so I'm not sure what the recommend plan of action is. How much protein should I be taking per day if I'm 200lbs working out 3 days on/2 off? I'm busting my ass in the gym so I'd like to see the best results possible.

Thanks.
