Not a morning person

Hi all,

I recently started working out first thing in the morning before going to work. This has been great for me in just about every way. I don't eat anything before I work out and eat breakfast right after my workout.

Here's the problem. Some days I feel great and there are no problems but many days I have this crazy gag reflex thing that makes feel like throwing up unless I put the weight down in the middle of a set and recompose myself.

Is there something I should be eating or taking before I go to the gym that would have to control this??

Working out on an empty stomach? What are you trying to acomplish?

yes, calories. if you cant lift straight after eating then wakeup, eat then start lifting 1 hour later. Lifting on an empty stomach is not a very good idea. Personally, I can eat what I like, could be 1000kcal and go to the gym straight after and not feel any bit sick or anyting. But if you cant do this then like I said, wait a while after eating.

Sounds like you're not working out hard enough:) JK I can do that too if I'm just lifting, not with hard cardio though.
 
try at least a 1/2 glass of orange juice or maybe a banana prior to your workout. you probably have stomach acid that is making your empty stomach sour.
