No shake before bed while cutting?

Should I still have a shake before bed or should I pass if cutting.

That depends on how many calories you're consuming.
Are you tapering down your calories?
 
yes. regardless of how you scale back calories, you dont remove meals.

You still burn cals when asleep. U still have protein demands.

8 hours of sleep burns about 600 for an 80kg man: Calories Burned

I haven't got a precise link, but I think about 75% of that energy is fat from memory, 25% is carbs, or 50G fat, 37.5 carbs (hence in the morning you have partial liver glycogen depletion).

Even on cutting you should consume something pre-bed, and I don't see the harm of eating a bit of tuna or something at 3-4am if u habitually wake up (just factor it in overall cals)
 
I get all of my requirements in b4 7pm but dont go to sleep till 11-12 so i get hungry again i guess ill just make a meal or two smaller too add a shake in b4 bed.
 
Yep - you cant go 8 hours without nutrition. I go for 50g casien protein before bed. Or cottage cheese if you wanna feel fuller

Bingo. 50 gram casein shake does the trick for me.


Definitely no carbs at bedtime if you are trying to cut.

You're in great shape and it's obvious by your avi. Magazines or not, you look good. If it works for you, who cares?

Back to the thread, as I have dinner at 8pm approx and go to bed 11pm, I've decided that I just stuff more food in my face when I inevitable wake up (sometime between 2-3am normally).

1 medium tin of pink salmon; 35P;10F.

It is factored into macros.
