No gym for me today....

I got a PFT (personal fitness test) on Thursday which includes a timed 3 mile run....max pull-ups and max sit-ups in 2 minutes...oh what fun. Plus, I get my bodyfat tested too. My maximum weight for my height (according to the Marines) is 203....gee I'm only 47lbs over :D
 
you're soooo big. when did you do all of this bulking up? what was you're bodyfat reading last time? don't think I have seen your pics at 240 plus. gonna compete?

I might compete later on down the road....I'm bulking now as a matter of fact...hit 250 this morning, and cycle barely kicked in. My last bf% was 12%. I'm gonna post some new pics next week (not body though)....of my son and a few of me.
 
I wish I could say that....

I will be in the gym 24-7 from here until August. I started my pre comp diet on Sunday...woohoo...I'm gonna turn in to a bitch sooner than later.

Had a thought...Next time have Walmart or whomever process your film , have them put your pics on a disk. You can download them into your 'puter-no need for scanning!:)

I think you can be overweight as long as your neck and waist measurements are acceptable, and I don't think Buck has a whole lot to worry about!!

NO, u just have to be under 18% bf of you're over your max weight....they have a formula where they measure your neck and waist.

my last time was a 19:30....but my goal for this PFT is under 21 minutes.
 
Damn biggie, you knew you had this PFT and you got smashed the other night? LOL Damn, you a real playa aint you? LOL you definitely keep it real. But I got confidence in ya, one of my good friends in high school is in the marines (in VA) and he is probably one of the best athletes I've ever met (he played basketball with me in high school and made all conference but now when he plays ball--6 years removed--I think he could play at Division I somewhere)

I know you marines are hard core..so do yo thang playa...by the way, i'm pissed people think you have a bigger ego than me...LOL j/k

shit, my lifting partner is more impressive than me.....he's only 215, but runs a 17 minute 3 mile.....he's a FAST motherfucker!!!!

100 crunches (max)
22:30 run :(

I felt like total shit on the run....that's the slowest I've ever run on the 3 mile. I feel like I have shine splints.

good job on the pullups...how strict was the form on those mofos??
 
Pretty good Buck. I used to take PFT's once a month for the Army, but the criteria was different. We had a 2 mile run, Max Pushups in 2 minutes, and Max sit-ups in 2 minutes. Max score was a 300, but I never could do all of the sit-ups so my personal high was a 290. I think my best time in the 2-mile was 11:18 and the push-ups were a piece of cake.

u have to come to a dead hang every time....no kipping. Chin has to come over the bar. They're a bitch.

...same with me worse time I ever got and got shine splints to boot, looked at the Xrays and i think they are stress fractures though...
 
BB, you seen the new Order yet? I heard that if you maintain a 1st class you can go up to 22%...that shits is gonna work out good for me during bulk cycles cuz I am always pushing 18% at those times.:)

Nah, I haven't heard that yet....I'm actually going to get taped this morning for bf%.
 
Well done Big Buck, don't worry about the run. Like me your built for fast sprints and 3 miles is actually a hard run when your being tested. Our test is over 3.2kms which is 2 miles, my pass times for a minimum military grrade 4 standard is 17mins for the run, 25 push ups and 25 sit up, nothing really hard, but at grade 4 we can't go on to do alot of career course's etc. After this part one we have a 12 mile march in full CEFO (Combat equipement fighting order) less weapon over mountainous terrain in under 3 hours, thats hard !. Or you can opt for a 10km ( 6 mile) march also in just day patrol pack in under 90 minutes. Another test we have at the end of alot of combat course's is 'Fit to Fight', basically it an untimed 30 mile hike again over the mountains in CEMO (Combat equipement Marching Order) including weaponsand ammo for a full infantry company, so that includes light and heavy support weapons, light mortors and anti armour weapons and all their ammo. At the end of the hike you've to 'put in' successfull company, platoon and section attacks against 'the enemy' !. This idea came about after the Brit's landed at Goose Green, Falkland Islands and marched over the Island to cature Port Stanley. So there you go lots of info there for the military buffs on the board.
