I'm very happy you could get that lean coming from a fat background. Gives the rest of us hope. I mean, more hope than some skinny dude who got fat, then got lean again.

You don't need steroids to get to where I am. All it would do is maybe get you there faster but what happens when you stop using them? It's really all about controlling your diet.

All of my meals take less than 2 mins to prepare except 10 eggs in the morning. I've been seperating 60 eggs at a time in 6 containers to save time there too.

Thanks. Keep in mind that my BF levels were pretty high before I started my diet a few years ago so my skin isn't as tight as someone who has been lean most of their life - and as a kid I was even fatter (kept a shirt on at the shore). lol

Current diet is the same as it always has been 45% protein/45% carb & 10% fat. All clean and never cheat - chicken, eggs, tuna mostly.

I don't own any cardio equipment so I am thinking of going to the gym at about 7:00am, doing some cardio until about 7:30am and then go to work straight from the gym, the only problem is I won't be able to eat anything until 10:30am, is this going to be a problem or should I eat near enough straight after I have done my morning cardio?

You always have time to eat - I can eat one of my meals consisting of 300 calories in less than a minute if I don't have much time - just be creative. Prepare your meals in advance and always have a quick back up meal on hnd if needed.

It was only a general statement - not directed at you or anyone else specifically. I stay in prime shape year 'round and have no problems posting pics to show my current condition.

You know me better than that - that I dont post my specific diet. lol Everyone seems to believe that there exists a secret macro/food combo that will magically change their appearance (this isn't directed at you Anthrax).

I have tried many different diet changes over the years. Since I never cheat and have no problem eating the same thing on a daily basis I feel this to have been a pretty controlled study (at least as far as myself). I've even tried the pre/during/post workout theories (including "Nutrient Timing" by John Ivy - it's for sale if anyone wants it). :)

None of it made a bit of difference.

There are only two secrets:
1. Eat high protein/high quality food; and
2. Control your eating.

I count the fat/protein/carbs from every source of food I eat. I consume 2300 calories per day and eat the same thing everyday so its pretty easy to track.

How about 45% protein 35% fat 20% carb? 3/4 can (8.5oz) of almonds / macademia / peanuts would cover the 35 percent and give you all the efa's you needed. I'm staying away from flax as someone posted that flax promotes prostate cancer.

I think the lower the carbs the better for a larger person to lose weight

Now all I need is something to sell. :)

At times I think my diet has zero possibility of working since people are so "consumed" by food that I'm unsure they would be able to give it up despite the many benefits. I've actually been giving some thought of switching to the dark side - targeting the fat market with a product(s) that would make their life easier while remaining fat (ie reinforced furniture or something similar). I think "fat" may just be the "in" thing someday.

I read one pretty funny interview about a fat resort down in Mexico, they were talking proudly about their triple reinforced chairs, because fatties are sick of breaking chairs when they sit in them... I find it hard to believe but the interview is out there...
 
ok then, I am going to get up 8:30am tomorrow and try this, I'll probably mix the cardio up a bit to keep it interesting, the cross trainer first then the bike and finally the treadmill, I will get back at my house at approx 9:20 after relaxing in the steam room for 10 minutes, I will then eat my first meal or drink a shake.
By the way, what is ideal after morning cardio, carbs or protein / or both?

NJRipped, since a few months ago, I was on a similar pro/carb/fat breakdown to you (high protein, high carb, low fat). My BF% was between 3-4% however it was extremely hard for me to gain muscle due to my restricted fat intake. I believe this is because dietary fat helps preserves nitrogen (protein is 16% nitrogen, so a negative nitrogen balance has a catabolic effect) and fat (particularly saturated and monounsaturated) increases testosterone levels.

As a result of this, I lowered my carb intake and increased my fat intake to provide roughly 27% of my daily energy by using more olive oil (80% monounsaturated fat), fish oil and flax oil (source of omega-3s). As a result, I think I have been getting better results and I don't believe my BF% has changed much, if at all.

i have news for you, beast knows a lot more about getting stronger than most people here. there are a few knowledgeable about strength and he's one of them. I've been involved in powerlifting for years- i couldn't give a crap about getting ripped, but if thats all your into, knock yourself out. sounds a little feminine to me though.

as well as some info on gaining weight the proper way..not a see food diet..

I'll say it again and again, you can do tren until you're pissing blood, grams of test a week but it wont magically get you ripped unless you've got the genetics.. look the 'good bros' who couldnt pass up on McD's on their ridiculous cycles, they pissed away $100's and ended up looking like shit

You guys jump all over him, like others have said, for going for his goal and finding out what worked for him, why do you freak out so bad?

Exactly! What I have accomplished is no great feat. Look at my workouts - 2 sets per bodypart - and the fact that I was chunky before starting my diet. What does that tell you? Anyone could get into the shape that I am in. Yet all these people call me "skinny" and anorexic and refuse to post any pics of their own showing a better physique. Hell, I even have people accusing me of juicing (that's you JKrew). This is just sad.

These same people back one another simply because they too do not have the physique to compete (despite the fact that they juice). And why don't they have the physique? The answer isn't because I have superior genetics but that they're too damn lazy and weak to follow their diet.

The main point of this post was to say that anyone can get ripped with a little dedication. I knew exactly how most would react and that the thread would be a riot. It is pretty damn sad that these "bodybuilders" can't compete with "skinny" me. lol

i forgot one thing i dont deny ive ever used gear..but i do not abuse like those that seem to be on never ending cycles of ever increasing doses..i have not used any for 9 months so dont assume you know anything about the kind of cycles i may or may not run..

lol...oh come on..the SOLE reason for me accusing you (if thats what you call by inquiring), of juicing was the slight case of gyno that it LOOKED like you had...tis all.........Plus, I know a ton of kids that juice and look like they have never touched a weight.......I never flamed you man, so don't treat me like it...all I said was it was your perrogitive........you eat to live....many live to eat....personally, I'm middle of the road...when I cut, I'm strict as fuck....when I'm trying to add some mass, I losen up a little or add in some foods I normally wouldnt eat........tis all.

i was entertained and laughed...is that a crime? also i find sp and my girlfriend to have the same body type, nice and curvy with big tits..i like that

also i was going through real life shit and couldnt handle it at the time. thats why no pics where posted.

i see a lot more people who lack discipline in gaining size..they all eat well for 5 weeks then they stop because they are afraid of losing abs..wheres the discipline there??? then they all complain about thier gear..its sad..


this is not a very good guide for someone to follow..wearing 3 sweaters to keep warm is not normal..i dont see the point of someone suffering like that if they are not going to step on stage..you will get people that will follow this advice who dont know any better and will lose most of the gains they have tried to make..

NJ is ripped but he has no desire to add muscle to his frame so if he lost 8 lbs of muscle through diet he could care less..is that how you feel as well? i dont think you do otherwise you wouldnt use AAS...most people dont want to drop muscle while dieting :rolleyes:
