I understand that. Because I initially was like, whoah. We can't spank our kids now? Then, I saw the photos. It's conflicting, because we want to keep our freedom to raise our kids as we see fit. So I had the same reaction but then I felt like a hypocrite. If a woman had those marks on her we'd know for sure it was abuse. It would be against the law for me to leave marks on another adult like that. It would be assault. Kids can't pick who their parents are, and do not have the freedom to leave. Plus, kids that age are so much smaller than we are.

I dont know about your state but Florida allows physical discipline as long as you dont leave marks. Which makes sense. A hand slap with a verbal instruction "don't touch that". A spanking. A light smack in the head/lips if they curse/sass you. A belt to the butta couple of times None of those should leave a mark

Florida "allows" physical discipline? That's what pisses me off the most alt this whole situation. No one "allows" me to discipline my children and that type of stuff you listed didn't deter me at all once I was about 7. When the state of FL or any other state starts raising young boys into decent men, they can tell me how to raise mine.

As a kid I got spanked with a plastic beaded jump rope. Talk about leaving some marks. My parents got charged for child abuse and child abandonment when I was 11, I got a court appointed attorney. Charges got dropped. And I never got a spankin again. Maybe thats why I turned out bad
But AP needs a wake up like this before it gets any worse. CPS can monitor this situation with monthly visits.

It's not an "allows vs doesnt allow". State doesn't give a fuck how u discipline as long as there is no mental injury, cruel and bizarre punishment or bruises/marks
