New to Clen and the forums :)

Hello everyone, so nice to meet you :)

As per title, I am very new to Clen. I did a bit of research on it, and it's left me with some questions.

About supplements: I am under the impression that if you start taking Clenbuterol you MUST take Taurine alonside with it, or you'll get major muscle cramping?

About working out: I'm doing the P90X exercise regimen which is strength training with cardio. I'm sure most of you have seen the ads but for those of you who haven't, that's the gist of it. Anyway, wondering if it's okay to take Clen/Taurine while on this program? There is some very intense cardio in the p90x program (like plyometrics) and I just want to be safe. The workouts are 6 days a week, the 7th is for resting my bones. I also bellydance about 4x a week.

About my diet: It's usually a 2:1 protien to carb diet. I tend to skip breakfastt most days as I'm usually not very hungry which just becomes an issue of force feeding myself in the mornings :eek2: I eat 3 meals a day (if I eat breakfast that is) and 2 snacks (like a protien bar or a banana or a small protien shake)

About me: 26, 150, 5'3, my goal is to get back to being 115-120 (I was so happy there...) I want to be lean again, that's the goal.

Did I leave anything out? :O

Hi Stillgreen, welcome to the ladies forum! The weekends can be a bit slow on Elite but, I'm sure you'll see more action starting tomorrow. I wish I could answer you're question but, I'm not too familiar with Clen myself. Hang around & the experts will chime in.

With out taurine you will also get a rebound weight gain. To be very honest if you are doing PX90 I don't think you have taken your diet and training to the level where you should be taking an illegal fatburner. Especialy since you skip breakast daily pretty much starting every day off on the wrong foot. Can you list exactly what you eat and drink and at what time as well as when you do you workouts?

Nutrition and exercise are most important. As far as supplements go, I would try something like the ECA stack first. Yohimbine is also a good supplement. My girl has done a great job using these supplements. She has also used Clenbuterol as well, but I don't like her using it because of the heart complications that can arise. I like Clen and it does definitely have it's uses, but for a beginner such as yourself, I would not go that route. Research the "ECA stack" if you want to take something to speed up the weightloss process. Start out with a low dose and don't overdo it.

Goodluck.

Welcome to EF!

Ditto on the rebound from Clen.

As for breakfast, there is a train of thought that says we must eat breakfast to jump start our metabolism and get started on the right foot. I'm not a big fan of this theory nor do I follow it. Some need breakfast, particularly when on a low calorie diet. However by not eating the moment you wake up you are allowing your digestive system an additional break. It takes about 8 hours for your body to fully digest your last meal (sometimes longer). Most of us eat a little something before bed and then first thing in the morning. We are keeping our digestive track in constant work mode (particularly if you are following it up with 6 meals a day). You are giving yours a much needed break and I don't see anything wrong with it IF it doesn't cause you to be ravenous by lunch. You are also allowing your liver to produce ketones and controlling insulin levels by using this "fasting" method. I use this type of fasting beautifully but I listen to my body. Sometimes I have a late breakfast and other times I don't need to eat until 12 or 1. Just ensure that the rest of your diet is high in protein, good fats and lots of veggies. The type of carbs you consume can make or break you.

Another note. If you aren't hungry in the mornings is it because you've eaten too many calories the night before? Usually this type of fasting takes some getting used to. I don't skip breakfast because I'm not hungry. I use that time to be in ketosis and to decrease insulin sensitivity. It took me some time to adapt to it.

Give us a run down of your daily diet and I know you will get lots of help. One note right off is to get rid of the protein bars. And in my opinion, anything that comes in a package ;-)

I'm so glad you are here! How do you like the P90X?

Stillgreen, the first thing I'd suggest is you retrace your steps so to speak. May I ask what fitness plan you used to achieve/maintain that bodyweight before? What was your lifestyle like back then?

Clen has more than a bit of central nervous system side effects; it's illegal for a reason. Yes it can be a powerful shortcut, but it doesn't change lifestyles. If everything else isn't in place, the weight loss will be strictly temporary. For the huge majority of women who are trying to loose body fat, Clen is completely unnecessary. Unless you want to get to significantly below 20% bodyfat, it's rather likely that a good exercise and diet plan will get you back to 120lbs. If you already have an OTC diet supp in hand, perhaps that will make the change all the faster.

Its nice to see women asking about clen on the forum. I can't tell you the number of girls in my city that take it and don't know the slightest thing about it. How is works. How to use it. What to use with it. Side effects. That it is illegal etc.
Kudos for posting! :)
