New Search Feature - What about archived threads

I tried using Search on the new board yesterday, and was getting no results.

Now I get some, but it seems that VERY few results are coming up ..... almost as if the ONLY threads that are being serached are either:

The ones active NOW ...... or

The ones which were created after the switch to the new board software.

Is this true?'

If so, the loss of all of the past archives, and the wealth of info within them, would be a real loss.....

Not to mention it gives newbies an excuse to ask dumbass questions.
