Can anyone help me here:-

Its unbelievable how many different answers I get to this question.

I am a brand spanking new gmy member who wants to build. Do I train all muscles 3 times a week this a day off in between or do I start splitting muscles groups. I am under the impression that beginners need not split. Is this correct.

Beginners don't really need to split, but the results you see right away won't continue at the same rate. You will have to change your program to a good split after 2 or so months.
 
I would suggest compound lifts to get some size. after that you can focus on your body parts one day at a time. that is just half the battle. eat right, and eat frequently, like every 2-3 hours.
