Hey guys, I'm new to the board and i need some help! I'm am a old competition benchpress guy from late 80's to the early 90's. I have decided to once again get back into competitions. Here are my stats 33 years old , weight is 198 lbs and best RAW bench max was 420. I have never worn a bench shirt. In the old days the new best thing to help you bench was reverse bench. As you can tell, I need help with current techniques. I've read about bands, floor presses, speed bench, etc. If anyone could forward any threads that would start me on the correct track, would be appriciated. I'll also do thread searchs. Thanks, guys
BTW I competed in the adpfa in 165lbs class. Best lift was 355.

I would recommend you try Westside training.. Most ppl here are doing WS anyways, and you will prob get some great results...There are MANY articles on www.testosterone.net by Dave Tate and also from his site www.elitefts.com .... Check them out they should have plenty of articles and good information for you.....
Im sure everyone here will help you out too...

Welcome to the boards kidice

:bday:

welcome.....
the article section in www.elitefts.com (as vtec96 mentioned) will be more than enough...but if you go to the "ask dave/q&a" section there is tonnes of information especially the exercise index (which is what you will need)

Welcome to the board. I am fairly new to this board and WS. I
have learned a lot about WS from folks here. There is a wealth
of information in the posts. Take the time to read them. It will
be helpful to you.

Also, endpoint and vtec96 mentioned www.elitefts.com. It is
a really good site for WS. The "Ask Dave" and "Articles" sections
are really good sources of info.

Good luck with WS.

WELCOME TO THE BOARDS the guys already told you about elitefts so why bother mentioning it again. You might also wanna look around www.testosterone.net that place has ALOT of articles on Westside and Powerlifting in general.

Great numbers! Welcome to the board! Study the links posted above and then ask questions. You will learn a ton and your lifting will certainly improve.
