Hey bros, I'm new here. My brother's been coming here for a few months and said he's gotten a alot of good info, so I figured I'd check it out. I've read through a ton of posts and it all seems aight to me. Right now I'm 160lbs and ripped to shreds, I've been working out for the past three or so years--use to be on the track and basketball team. I'm not looking to get big, I just want to look fit with minimal effort :p. My goal is 180lbs with 9-10bf. I look forward to talking with all of ya!

im new to the site also and i already love it. as far as you wanting to look fit without being to big, i would suggest using low reps and training for strength. i believe that hard, low rep strength training(which builds tendon and muscle strength, not hugely bulky muscles) and cardio in the a.m. on a completely empty stomach is a very good idea if you want to get ripped.

p.s. it might take more than a minamal effort though

so you want to look like the cover of muscle and fitness huh?

keep your diet in check and lift in the 8-12 range
 
Thanks for the replies bros, I'm a 100% absolute hardgainer so I think bulking is just a waste for me, I stay on a 1/3 f/p/c diet which has been good thus far. I've been lifting 3 sets of 8 with the last rep of the last set almost to failure all my life. I think I'll change the pace up and do as bonan says, low reps with high intensity. I've never tried it before so it can't hurt.
