Because many members are heading into the final months of school I thought this would be a good time to remind people about Neurogenex. For many people it can make the difference between a $35,000 a year job and a $50,000 job coming out of school. And for those younger it's can be the difference between Ivy League and State.
I know most the people using it during the school year have done so in order to help them balance their academic and social commitments. Like being mentally alert for the 8AM class after getting home at 4AM. But testing and problem solving skills are where you'll see the biggest increase when you use Neurogenex. This is from their website.

What is Neurogenex and what are it's benefits ?
Neurogenex is a combination of various nootropics (smart drugs and supplements). Neurogenex improves memory, improves brain metabolism, increases blood flow to the brain, increases concentration and focus inhibits breakdown of the extremely important neurotransmitter acetyl-choline upregulates nicotinic receptors, which are important for appetite control and mood. It increases levels of the enhancing dopamine and other neurotransmitters, which are essential for memory and motor (movement) control, may increase nerve restoration and memory through increases in nerve growth factor. Decreases and may reverse damage done by harmful neural metabolites.

What are the ingredients and what do they do?
1. 2-oxo-pyrrolidone
a. 2-oxo has been shown to improve memory in numerous clinical trials
b. it has also been shown to increase neural flow between brain hemispheres
c. increases density of cholinergic receptors, which improves neural function

2. Vinpocetine
a. facilitates cerebral metabolism by improving blood flow to the brain
b. boosting brain cell ATP production, which means more "brain energy/fuel"
c. increases the production of Noradrenaline and Dopamine

3. Galantamine
a. acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, which means it blocks the premature, often age-related breakdown of the natural neurotransmitter acetylcholine
b. enhances nicotinic receptor activity, an effect long known to influence memory and intellectual activity as well as having impacts on appetite control and mood.
c. under the trade name "Reminyl", Galantamine is FDA approved to treat Alzheimer's

4. Huperzine A
a. studies have shown that huperzine A, like galantamine, inhibits acetylcholinesterase activity in the brain and increases the acetylcholine levels for up to 6 hours
b. used in china to treat ALZHEIMERS
5. Bacopa (20% bacosides)
a. Research indicates they play a protective role in the synaptic functions of the nerves in the hippocampus, the seat of memory
b. May also have anxiolytic (anxiety relieving) effects

6. DMAE
a. Increases attention span
b. Precursor to acetyl-choline
c. Has numerous benefits, most of which are related to its impact on choline and acetyl-choline levels

7. acetyl-l-carnitine
a. shown to protect brain cells against aging-related degeneration and improve mood
b. a precursor for acetyl-choline
c. sold as a pharmaceutical in Europe to treat heart and neurological disorders

8. Acetyl-l-tyrosine
a. precursor for Noradrenaline, Dopamine and acetyl-choline

9. Choline Bitartrate
a. precursor to acetyl-choline
b. itself an important neurotransmitter
c. must be taken with 2-oxo, probably due to increase in cholinergic receptors

10. Piroxidal-5-phosphate, Nicotinamide, and Calcium Pantothenate
a. important b vitamin cofactors for brain and general metabolism as well as neurotransmitter production

Ulter - how long do you need to take to "see" results? For example, if I have a test Saturday, if I start taking Neurogenix tomorrow will I "see" results in a couple days....Or do you need to take longer term?

how about a student discount, benevolent souls?

otherwise it's much cheaper to buy/consume ingredients separately, that is if one is interested in nootropics at all :o

Sorry there is no additional discounts. It's already marked down from $59 to $38 with the afdiscount coupon code.
It's not cheaper to buy all the ingredients in Neurogenex seperately.
Two of the ingredients are prescription only in the form you could buy them in. So it's pretty unlikely you'd be able to buy them without importing them and hoping they get through customs.

Umm, I'm not even going to contest this, because I liked Neurogenex, however the stack I'm currently running includes Aniracetam, Selepryl, Hydergine and a few other components and it is still more economical in terms of cost and dosage efficacy.
However all those not wishing to trickle with numerous powders should consider NRGNX as a close alternative. Maybe add a little more Piracetam and Vinpocetine from BAC since they come at such frugal cost :o

Hmm, I am, in fact, not using Galantamine as a part of my Noo-stack, mainly because its ACheI and NAChe sensitization attributes are easily attainable with other substances. Just to make it clear, my stack is not a copy of NRGNX, rather an analogue aimed at synergy which includes a few substances and excludes others which can be found in NRGNX.
Ani, Selepryl, ALCar, LTyr, DLPA and Alpha-GPC are the most integral part of my stack, all the while I incorporate a few other susbstances (some of them simply on occasion, like say Chocamine for its stimulant qualities via PEA, theophyline/bromine)

loading phase: 3-4g's pira will make itself known to you at a quite rapid pace :o

True, but Neurogenex doesn't have that Pira per day.

You'd have to use exo Pira with the neuro for the first week or so.

ulter said:
No you woudn't, you'd only have to take 8/day instead of the recommended 6.

12/day for Piractam loading. And it would take about 30 days for full saturation to occurr.

that much piracetam is unneccessary.

loading phase is unneccessary and the doses used are often higher than needed.

2400mg (6 neuro) is more than sufficient for load, particularly in conjuction with the other ingredients. also the inclusion of bioperine will increase uptake.

Bioperine slows down the actions of the P-450 cytochrome Enzyme, therefore decreasing the clearance times of substances that pass through the liver, but its effects are negligible. IMO, it does not increase piracetams effects to that extent. You need a loading phase or else the piracetam will not start working till 4+ weeks.

Macro :

I've been using Neuro for quite awhile as you know and wouldn't go without it.

I'm about to add selegiline and hydergine finally. (On the way now.)

I'm also using a reasonably high dosage of:

Rhodiola (1-2g/day)
Alcar (5-10g/day)
Bacopa (800mg/day)
Mucuna Pruriens 15% L-Dopa 500mg 5x week (preworkout)
Thermorexin 1-2/day

If I were to 'over do' the nootropics, what effects would I notice that might indicate that?

Thanks :)

Nope. The result is bioperine increases the blood levels of the piracetim and other ingredients. In some studies the increase of blood levels was as high as 60% and 2000% in others. Which would make 2400mg of piracetim 3800mg of piracetim in terms of actual blood levels at 60%.

While I do get the gist of your studies........there's a flaw. None where conducted on piracetam. I only see Curcumin, beta carotene and Co-enzyme Q10.

The purpose of the P-450 Enzyme is to get rid of insoluble organic matter, via attaching (OH) groups to the incoming molecule, making the molecule more soluble, and therefore the organic matter can be filtered by the kidneys later.

I really don't see how Bioperine is going to slow down the actions of the P-450 Enzyme to any great extent. 60% to 2000% seems seriously flawed data IMO. And even at 60%, that means Boperine is blocking the P-450 Enzyme by 60%. That in essence, is an indirect hepatoxic scenario.

While I do get the gist of your studies........there's a flaw. None where conducted on piracetam.

No offense bro but that is ridiculous.

Grapefruit Juice inhibits the stomach enzymes that break down 17aa medication and thus allows a greater blood level. This is a fact. The fact that they did not test Grapefruit Juice on every conceivable 17aa medication someone might take doesn't mean it doesn't do the same thing for all of them.
You may argue that the data is flawed but you're basing that on your opinion and not on any scientific reseach that shows it's flawed.

Any chance of this stuff coming in a larger unit? Something that would yield a lower pricer-per-dose? I had great results taking 6/day (not for a hyper-load), but am just about out already!

where did you find these things?? I want to add them. I have been looing for ani and have been unable to find it. Any good places you could let me know about? Hit me wiht a pm please or post it. thanks.

How does Aniracetam compare with Piracetam?? I'm having great results with piracetam/DMAE/VINPO/AlphGPB/1-2 neurogenix. It's like a mild ritalin/adderall feeling all day.

i have no firsthand experience but it is suposed to be 10x as good.

i'm taking 1 a day to be safe. am I wasting my time, and should bump up to 6 pills right in the morning before i go to work?

When I could still buy ephedra I would take those before school every day and about an hour before major tests. It was like night and day with that stuff. Now i can't buy any... damnit

>No you should split those 3 and 3 after lunch or 2 2 2 throughout the day.

You mean 3 in the morning, and 3 15 mins before lunch?

Do the carbs make it work better I guess? If I stack those 3 with thermo/lipo/r-ala (good lord, i'm having a full pill meal before my meal!) 30 mins before - that's fine?

Right now i'm taking 2 in the morning, and 1 just before lunch (i have to make the bottle last a month, too $$ with all the other stuff i gotta buy. :( )

Also!:

On Sat and Sun's -- i don't really "think" like I do M-F. hehe. Therefore, is it okay if I slack off on taking neuro those days? Or is it better utilized by taking it on a daily basis without a break in continuance?

So the dose is 6 Neurogenex per day on a 3-3 or a 2-2-2 basis?

Correct?

With food or empty stomach?

How late in the day is considered too late (interfer with sleep?)

Also, can it be taken at the same time with T-Rex or not? Is there anything you shouldn't take at the same time (or even the duration you are on it?)

ulter said:
Personally I don't have a sleep problem from Neurogenex. But those that do stop 6-8 hours before bed.

Right 3-3 or 2 2 2

You can take it the same time as Trex. I do.

Thanks. I was wondering.. the bottle I have says take 1 to 3 capsules daily. I was wondering about the 6 total caps per day. I ordered this back in January (just now getting around to using it). But was it a stronger batch or is it just that the increased dose is more effective?

I had a tiny bit of trouble sleeping at first, but nothing major. I do wish I had been taking 6 all along (was taking three), world of difference!

6 caps a day helps you reach the 2-oxo saturation point a lot quiker. Twice as fast actually. ABout 30 days by my calculations.

Does your body devlope a tolerance for this stuff? and do you continue usage even after the test has passed or you stop? any side effects?

I'm interested in getting some of this stuff. FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TRIED IT> When can affects be noticed? What did you notice first? Is it something you will keep taking? How long have they been in buisness, I will make a log weekly about my progress and keep everyone informed. By the way this place has been really cool everybody hear sounds prety cool and I appreciate your input, OH yea They call me Goof Troop (HI EVERYBODY)

I can attest to the fact that neurgonex HAS increased my ability to recite and stay more focused on what i'm studying. I've definately noticed a sharper cognitive state in my mind making it an inviting area to do all kinds of reading and studying at late. And my ability to comprehend, ingest and pull out that information at a momen'ts notice has been, to be blunt, simply amazing.

I just wish i had more money so i could take 6 a day instead of 3. :(

>I had a tiny bit of trouble sleeping at first, but nothing major. I do wish I had been >taking 6 all along (was taking three), world of difference!

Really? In what way? How do you space them out, and do you take them with food?

Okay I will order it, I'm sorry if I havn't found where the quantity is MAYBE THAT'S why I need these. How much comes in a bottle, I'm ordering it right now.

Yeah I have got to try this stuff out. If this will help me with school then its well worth buying it monthly. Can it be taken for prolonged peroids of time? Would it make a difference if I take it with t-rex since it has some nootropic effects?

YES

There will be some synergy.

Hey ulter..

not to mock you, but it seems EVERYTHING works well together.

So if i take (and I do) thermo, levo, r-ala, alltyr, and neuro all at the same time. That's quite ideal and there's no complications you can see out of it? Usually i take that with a little bit of carbs (to tame the thermo) -- like say an hour before lunch, etc.

No complications.

We are body builders first. We started manufacturing and selling supplements with the ingredients WE would want in our supps but no one would, or in some cases no one had thought of, put inside the capsules. We addressed each aspect of "sports supplements" that we wanted to take every day. That's why they all work synergystically. It's really just like a guy building himself a big ol fatass cycle of bulking and then cutting. You add some of this, and some of that, a couple naked lady tees, some more of those, and when you're done you've got the ingredients of dream cycle.
That's what we do with supps.

Wow! I cannot believe it a supplement that actually works as advertised! I am very plessanlty supprised. Virtaully all suplements from creatine to whatever else I've wasted my money on do not work on me. I'm glad gave this one a try. Now its hard for me to sit still when I get home from work and/or finish finish work outs which is a really good thing. I usually just watch tv and procrastinate. but since taking this I've been so productive.

It's very similar extended release adderall without the dopamine buzz.

thanks for the recommendation and for actually selling a product that really works as advertised.

okay that does it, thats the final post i need. I am ordering it now! a legal supplement that works? amazing.

another thing this does which previously hasn't been mentioned, for those who drink and ever black out....this DEFINATLY improves memory recall the next day, which can be a good or a bad thing.

Mr Ulter!

Hey, if i wake up and do 12mg of Anavar, 2 Neuro pills and 1 finasteride pill. That's allright? Nothing conflicts or degrades one another??

ok, so I caved and picked up a bottle. I guess I'll try 6/day for a few weeks then 3/day so I don't go too broke.

I've only seen 4-5 people in this thread talk about the fact that they think it actually had a noticeable effect. Can more people chime in who have used it? I'm still a bit hesitant to believe I'll notice much of a difference - but hey, I'll be the first to admit it if I do, I'll write more in a few weeks.

it's good stuff...i used it in my fall semester at 3 a day...definetely helped my test taking and studying skills significantly. I was too poor to afford it the next semester and did terrible in school. I'm not sure if there was a correlation or not but it's very possible it had at least some effect.

oh, super, just what I need, to build a dependency on another type of drug/herb besides the other 6 types of drugs that i'm on now that contribute to mass building, weight losing, longevity inducing, cancer-preventing, free-radical destroying, and sex enhancing. I might as well add one more to the mix that I now need to survive.

If I ever come off this cocktail cold-turkey, I'm going to turn into a wimpy lard-ass disease-ridden loser who sucks in bed and to top it all off, I'm going to be dumb once I stop the neurogenix. At least I'll die young.

lol wtf?
all i said was i took neurogenix my first semester this year and it helped.
I suffer naturally from ADD (used to be on ritalin and but didnt like the way it made me feel during the day) and it seemed to help my attention and study habits.

never stated anything about a dependency, but i did notice a difference.

either way i don't really care.buy or it don't. you asked for anecdotal evidence and i gave it to you

Hey Ulter,

This seems very interesting and not too expensive. So i am going to get it. But u havn't told us exactly how to take it. Like before or after meals? and should we avoid taking it before dinner because we are going to loose some sleep? How does two with breakfast and two with lunch sound?

I am off to univ next sep so i am thinking of starting right now so i get its full effects when i need em. Tnx bro.

Wow Ulter I love you man.. u get dreams from it too!!.. thats fucking awesome. I am getting two. Cya later. I will post more later here for feedback and questions. Thank you.

How can i get the discount code? i am interested in more brain power. I used to try ephedrine and caffiene before a test but it made me forget. Does caffiene alone help with brain power. Also, i hear creatine is also good for the brain.

You may also want to try Focus Factor, I liked it and it has gotten good ratings. You can call them for a free bottle I believe.

on to the formulation...

the main ingredient in focus factor is DMAE (which is also the cheapest ingredient)

it does contain vinpocetine, huperzine and bacopa- though amounts and percentages are not given.

It does not contain (as neurogenex does)
Galantamine- an upregulator of nicotinic receptors and an AChE-I
2-oxo-pyrrolidone (aka piracetam)- the most widely used nootropic in Europe.- the most prevalent but not main ingredient.

Neurogenex contains listed amounts all of which are pharmacologically significant.

STuff works fine for me at 2tabs (morning & night).

Just feel really clear-headed and things that I used to find confusing are more possible. I'm doing better at college and I'm learning a second language.

Is there any caffeine or stimulants of that sort in the neurogenex..
i only say this because caffeine can tend to make you loose focus and make the mind wander.

no, there are not.

However to address your point its not caffiene, but fluctuations in blood sugar caused by caffiene that would cause such.

Thanks ..another quick question:

If i dont have ADD or any attention disorder would i still benefit in school by using this...will it simply help get work done?

also what happens if i come off it?

it is not comparable...

I don't even want to get into this...but,of course it won't be comparable according to you. No offense, but I received my free bottle with no problems. Just because 5 people had some problems (according to an INTERNET site) doesn't mean that the product sucks or is worse than yours. I could actually tell a difference while taking it.

I'm sure Neuro is a great product too, but no need to not say anything positive about anyone's products ever. Other companies do make good stuff as well.
