Nerve impingment

I've been having a lot of trouble with my neck/ upper left side of back. I get bad knots and cramps where the scapula is. Went to a chiroprator he took some xrays first day. He said I have some bad nerve impingments in the c5, c6 area.

I also have a problem with the top part of my spine being a lot straighter then it should be. It should curve where mine is straight he thinks it from being hunched over computers to much I also have bad posture.

My question anyone else deal with something like this? Should I keep lifting or should I let him straighten it out before I go at it hard again?

Let him do his work.

I have a cervical fusion of C6&C7, so I have been where you are.

One thing to keep in mind. Good chiropractors know when to hand you off to an MD. I would say depending on what treatment protocols they are using, if there is no sign of improvement after 5-8 sessions, its time to see an MD.

You can also help the process by taking Advil 4xday too.

get a better chair on your computer with neck support. you can buy one for like 100 bucks at any office store.

try getting cupped at an acupuncture place. i had a knot in my upper back that wouldn't go away for weeks. they got it out for me though with cupping.

stretch before, during and after work. also yoga is a good option

if you have a gut then lose it, that can strain your back

.. I used to have my fair share of back issues and the above worked for me.
