I'd read it was the B vitamins. If I'm on a heavy and arduous workout cycle then it doesn't turn my urine's colour, presumably my body is using up the vitamins in that case.

I broke out my old medic books and I think you're right Blut - appears the B's may have more influence on urine color than E.

Thanks for that corroboration. I'm no medic, it was just what I remembered reading, probably a couple of decades ago.

The colour change is definitely less when I'm under a lot of stress, though, and that does tie in with nervous system and B-vits.

Vit C also. take 500-1000mgs of vit C and your next piss will probably be yellow

From what i know all excess vitamins that your body cant use will be pissed out

It's not necessarily so: we have a slight problem getting rid of retinol, vit A, for example, which can lead to overdose problems and it's common in cod-liver oil supps. It's better to take beta-carotene, although even that has been linked to lung cancer in smokers since, apparently, it can become a pro-oxident rather than an anti-oxident in some situations.

What I'm getting at is that you shouldn't assume that vitamins are safe to take simply because the body will discard whatever it doesn't need. Sometimes it can't or doesn't and high doses can have unexpected and undesirable side-effects.

Yes it vitamin B , Back in the day if you went to buy a detox tea to help pass a drug test it always came with a vitamin b tablet , to take an hour before the test , to add color to your urine , Damn that stuff was nasty , so I heard.

You could try to work with flavours, too.
