hey man i was just wondering when u started training and kind of a short history of what got you to now... i saw ur pre contest pics a while back and it was sickness...

i kno ur pre contest cycle was very low dosages compared to many bros on here...which kind of intrigued me... would u say u generally run lower dosage cycles?

Bump for info for you.

just on my way to bed guys, will try and get to this in the morning

Okay, here is a brief history
I started training at the beginning of highschool, spent years training hard, but no idea what I was doing. Late teens early twenties, started buying magazines, and tried following that stuff. Towards mid 20s, did all the research I could find, and tried every approach to training, and every supplement I could get my hands on, and plateaued around 180lbs at 5'8", and was stuck there for years.
At age 27, discovered elite thanks to my buddy alltraps, and did my first cycle, that was 5 years ago
Here are some pics from when I was natural

started first cycle looking like that, at 180lbs, at the end of 4 weeks 30mg dbol, 500mg test for 8 weeks, was at 208lbs(kept 202lbs), this is what I looked like then

more to come....

damn bro....talk about reaching your peak before juice! you were diesel before you even started! congrats!

After that first cycle, I was lucky to gain 5lbs each time, it seemed like most times I couldnt even gain that much. So for the past 5 years, I have consistenly cycled the doses up higher, and stayed on for longer periods, and still have trouble gaining more than just a few lbs each time. From year to year there are only small changes now, which kinda sucks, because I totally live the lifestyle, never miss meals or workouts, train like an animal, and am barely making any progress at all

found a few more pics
this is me after my 3rd cycle

One lesson I learned over the years is that diet is everything, bulking or cutting, its way more important than juice. I remember the first time I hit 3000mg a week, gained nothing because I wasnt eating enough protein... Next time around, same dose, but around 400grams of protein per day, I gained some mass.

As for doses, they have gotten high, and I am still having trouble gaining at these amounts, my last few bulkers were around 4000mg a week(I do know guys that use way more, along with gh and everything else). My last blood test was after being on for 4-5 months, first at 4000mg for the first few months while bulking, then 2000mg while dieting, and everything was in the normal range, so I dont feel like I am taking chances with my health

I do plan on taking a bit of a coasting period now though, I am usually so wrapped up in trying to get bigger, I never stop to enjoy what I have built so far...So for the summer, going to run maybe 200mg enth, 200mg primo, and just enjoy eating, spending time with my family, and being big(I still dont see it when I look in the mirror, but I know its there)

You da man, bro. You were bigger natural than a lot of guys on EF taking a gram per week.

thanks, I think thats why its important to put in some years naturally first. Save the juice gains for when you already have size, I have seen so many guys jump on right away, make some okay gains, then plateau, even on juice. I have plateaued too, but the difference is, since I waited, I plateaued much bigger than the guys who start too early

thanks for the info needsize, truly an inspiration & a mentor for lots of us. Just curious as to your thoughts on cycles (specific gear) & other drugs (hgh, IGF, etc.)

I agree w/you 100% about diet...it makes or breaks a cycle.

Good post bro, and grait job

thanks guys
funny thing is that every level that I have gotten to, I remember thinking before hand that I would never get that big....just like now, it feels like I cant get any bigger, but I am sure going to try
As for cycles, I have done gh, and it did help me gain some mass, but it did make my bones grow, I even had to get my wedding ring resized, so I wont do it again...my small waist was one of my best features, and its now an inch bigger
I think the basics are best, test/deca/dbol, and depending on your level, adding in eq or fina(althought the fina sides arent worth it to me).
I do like the approach that my trainer showed me, where you start with a low dose, and work it up every week over the course of the cycle, cheaper, and it works

Hey Needsize :wavey: long time no talk. :)

Are you still gettng your program splits etc from Laura?

too long...I just havent had the time to be online much at all
I am still following her routines, I did two different offseason ones this winter, and they were awesome, now I am back to the contest one till the diet is over...she is definitely the best money I ever spent on this stuff

I know a girl that is competing in level 2 Figure South Centrals that had her as her trainer and I can't wait to see how she turned out.

I bet she turned out great if she listened, that was my mistake, trying to outguess her at the end...

Sounds like you're advocating pyramiding up doses. Whenever someone posts a cycle like that here they get jumped on. Could you elaborate on that?

what doses and how long did you use the gh?

I think I used the gh for 7-8 months, started with 2iu, worked up to 5iu a day and stayed there, it did help me stay lean...and did help with size, although I should have paired it with long acting insulin

are you talking about the 24 hour insulin? i thought that the humlin r was the way to go?

I used humalin r to death and got nothing, ironmaster who used to post here, was known as the gh/insulin guru, he told me that the long acting 24 hour stuff is the way to go to gain mass, as the other stuff isnt active long enough

how many times a day did you use the humalin r?

Needsize, what can you say you've leraned about training? and you stayed much leaner as you were bulking you said, but how did you eat? I make every effort possible to stay somewhat lean when I bulk, never loosong sight of my abs altogether. I ate clean this past winter at 5500-6000 calories a day, and still had a bitch of a time puttin on weight.

Inspirational story right here. I knew there was long hard work and determination put into that frame. You did good by all means.

Mega super K props to you needsize. Excellent example of "how to do it" and not cheat yourself early. Fantastic!

thanks, there are time when I wish I hadnt waited so long....it wasnt easy, but i guess in the end it paid off....

as for bf, not sure, would guess around 10%, hopefully a little less

NS is almost always lean. Damn!!!
He has decent genetics too.
As far as I'm concerned he has re-written the book on bulking. Redefined the game because you see, now there is no excuse for being a fatass in the "off season".

Unless you are training for the "Mr. O" then no need to be big and fat.

A recreational bodybuilder should not be following the same routine as guys who compete at the highest level, I believe they are just using that as a reason to eat nonstop.

What's the point of being lean only 2-3 months out of the year?

thanks bro, but I am definitely not always lean, last year I was a damn soft 260lbs, thought the extra food would help me grow....
this time around I totally agree, I work my ass off, so thought it would be nice to look good all the time, and I enjoyed myself much more this winter, and dieting down was a joke, 3 weeks, almost down 15lbs, and am shredded for summer

NS, do you think you would have kept your hair if you didn't juice at all?

its genetic, but it would have taken longer, I've halted the process, but doesnt help what I lost

heavyduty, I run clen, but stay away from t3, not a big fan of its ability to eat mass as well

How did you halt the process?
I think I did too with the use of Spiro lotion (2%) twice daily, Nizoral 2% daily, and Xandrox (5%) twice daily (after spiro application).
What have you incorporated?

spiro and xandrox 12.5% are generally what I use, and as long as I stay away from tren, fina, masteron and winny, they are enough

heavy duty, on the contest diet carbs where 180-200 a day, but with 2x daily cardio and weight training, this time they were likely around 150grams a day
