Need To Build Bigger Arms?

Just wondering, how come you dont put your thumb under the bar when benching ?
And in stead of doing barbell curls, is there anything else i could do ? Barbell curls hurt my left shoulder for some reason

I dont do it either, hurts my wrist and for some reason i am more solid when gripping without my thumbs. I do it on alot of stuff.

future how much extra weight were u using on those weighted dips?

and what happened to forearm work? :(

Lying dumbbell curls and light barbell curls rock. Love the full extension and keeping the stress on the bi at the top. The light barbell curls with shortened ROM are great too for keeping the stress on the bis all the way through. That stuff is the only thing that has ever actually put any size on my upper arms.

No offense but this is obviously just advertisment the workout instruction included is about worthless

So when you see Jay Cutler talk about MuscleTech, even though Muscletech have worthless over-rated supplements, does that make his advice any "less" significant? Does that discredit him?

Its easier to unload the bar. Gives more torque.

And use whatever you can. This isnt the end all for arm programs. ;)

200 lbs...

Forearms and traps are the two areas guys fret over...still not sure why.

If I wanted to I could do reverse curls at the end instead but forearms get worked alot as it is.

Arent you the same guy that doesnt know how to do cardio and have 30% bf?

Do you know about pre and post workout nutrition? Familiar with carb and protein timing? Digestion rates? How about just a sensible low volume arm routine with rep variety to not only stimulate strength and growth BUT to keep chronic injuries potentially at bay.

I thought the video was a fun way to support a friend WHILE giving some visuals for people in a multimedia format. To call it worthless is actually quiet laughable considering the source of the critique.

Great post. You remained respectful and professional while pwning the original poster for being "not so nice"

Good video too. Great form and good choice of exercise.

Nice video Future.

I don't wrap my thumbs either. It takes strain off the elbows.

nice lol.

Really not trying to be mean.

Thumbless grip on the Smith just helps me start the bar.

Nice vid. Some big weights there on close grip and dips. The exercises are a good mix too. Only thing i would say, and this more for people who will copy this routine - The straight barbell curls - drop the weight and use better form. If you need to stop at the bottom of the rep and use your back to get it moving and then shift the elbows forward - the weight is too heavy. I know you probably loaded up the barbell for motivational purposes or are they cheat curls??? watched video on mute!

Chill, man. No video with Tammy in it is worthless. I have never wrapped my thumbs in 30 years but all these powerlifting vids of dudes dropping 800lbs on their chest has me thinking about it...not that dropping 135 on my chest will hurt much. :)

I never liked dips for chest because I got too much tri out of it; never liked close grip bench for tri's because I got too much chest out of it. I might give it another shot though.
