need some advice

Hi everyone.
I am 45, been training for over 20 years.
weighing in at about 185ibs and 12%bf
I eat regular through the day, a good breakfast - mid morning protein shake - lunch usually a footlong at subway - mid afternoon shake and then i train get home and dinner.
My training routine is split Mon TueThur Fri on the non train day i usualy leave out a shake.
Supplements i take are actvit multi - liv 52 - primrose oil.
I have taken in the past variouse concoctions of different things the latest being Arimatest and Hexagen but with not much success. I am what you would call a very hardgainer.
There must be someone in the forum with the same genetic makeup.
My goal is not to be to greedy but i would like to gain 20ibs or so of good muscle and i am considering taking steroids. Is this a good idea i ask myself and other members. If it is then I would prefer an oral over the injectible. So i need some good sound advice from the pros out there. I have read considerably about steroid use and i find myself very confused about the whole thing.

man if you are 45..i think you can easy do some newbie cycle! in 10 weeks cycle you can get easy 25-30lbs.

absmuscle, I hate to call you out since you seems to have some general knowledge about steroids but I keep seeing posts where you make absolute statements that just can't be backed up...and you just joined EF this month.

25-30 lbs of weight gain on a cycle is rare. Just taking steroids will definitely not do it for him.

Bulking is about diet. If you want to go from 185 to 205 you have to east like a 205lb man. Steroids will increase protein synthesis so muscle can be built faster. It will also allow you to train harder than you normally could. Those are the two mechanisms that allow you to rapidly put on weight and have most of it be muscle.

10lb of solid muscle that is keepable once the cycle is over is a much more realistic goal.
 
needles are fine! test only cycle would do you very well
If looking at orals, check out beastdrol or deiselbolon!
do not to forget about pct!

Bro, there are pages and pages and pages of info about orals, cycles, doses, etc. available on EF via a quick search. I suggest this because I think you will find most everything you're looking for rather than waiting for responses. A lot of this has already been done for you. Enjoy.

your diet is the problem....fix the dietr..if thats what your aily food intake is you have a lot to learn on nutrition...dont eat right you wont get gains
 
If absmuscle was making a joke and I didn't get it then I appologize.

But if that's the case, he's making the same joke over and over in many different posts.

No nyd, he's on another thread telling a newb to use Clen, t3 and HGH. Its no joke.

Listen to cent and nydj. Their suggestions are right on. I can't stand it when people say I want to gain and keep like 20+ lbs on a cycle. Come on! The body doesn't build that fast, no matter what your on. Yeah, water weight and bloat, but who the fuck wants that. also def check out Needto products. I haven't used them but many bros have and they all vouch for it so the numbers can't be wrong. And def have your PCT lined up and in hand before you do anything. Thats the biggest rookie mistake not having your shit and being fucked when your cycle ends, and then coming on the forums pleading for help.

Best of luck though bro.

actually i know a cycle that can put 20 solid pounds on and you keep it :) hahah
 
20 pounds of muscle from a single cycle at age 40 is impossible. Period. End of discussion.

You can use bloating compounds and put on a lot of water weight but again, at 40, you risk hypertension.

My advice -- get this: http://www.elitefitness.com/reports/truth/ Learn the realities. Change your training. Improve your diet. Find out about effective supplements and safe steroid use. Then come back in 6 months and ask again.
 
Yeah bro fix your diet. Way more food and protein and you can't just guess. I would suggest tracking everything you eat on Livestrong.com or fitday.com - both really good resources.

Also, I noticed you're skipping a protein supplement on days you don't train. This is especially bad because you're depriving your body of amino acids and nutrients on your resting (REBUILDING!) days. That is only a small part of what's wrong with your diet but you can get it dialed in by tracking and making changes. Instead of your footlongs for lunch pack something. Lean meat, sweet potato, brown rice, cottage cheese, etc.

Once you get this fixed seeing your doc is a good idea. You may be able to get on HRT and use test legally :artist:. Either way, the advice on a test cycle with an OTC oral is a good one. Don't be afraid of injectables. They'rrrrre Great!
