I agree with cack 100%. Mike can you prove it without your results from training?

Completely agree the results of my recent 3 months of doing declines proves it. My training partner even noted the NEW hardness and vascularity in my upper pecs. the only deffierence in the past 3 months chest routing was increased use of declines so....

I also agree with Cack. Who agrees with me. Robboe agrees with both of us.

....

Anyone else up for a beer at this point?

LOL at Mike.

gymtime, you should stick to the exact same routine until you can no longer add weight/reps every week on every exercise using it. If some exercises are still progressing then stick to them, if a few aren't then change them, if everything stopped you should probably take a week off or some low intensity training, or so on.

Basically, stick to the same routine until it stops working.

Interesting. Like I said earlier, I do the same basic workout each week, only I do variations on the same excercises. I will try it your way for a while and see how it goes. But if I don't see any results from this, I swear I will flame you into an eating disorder  !!!

:p J/K bro, thanks for the info.

I think that the flat bench is well overrated and it has caused alot of injurys to the front delt area pec tie in.It is the male ego of all exercises and most that do it have crap form ie bouncing the bar of their chests, raising their butts of the bench just to show that they can bench 400.Declines or inclines are far better,i personally prefere the inclines and seated press but at the end of the day its executing the exercise correctly which will stimulate the muscles, that means isolating the chest and not wriggling all over the bench so that you get 1 rep out using 400 pounds.

Tag, if the bench is done with proper form and using a weight that your body can handle and not your ego, then the flat bench is one of the best.
