No disrespect to your mate but ignore what he does. What works for him wont necessarily work for you. You need to.
1. Get your diet and training sorted. Loadsa decent websites out there that can help including this one lol. You will see real gains if you eating and training properly in your first year.
2. Nail your supplements i.e things like glutamine, carnitine, branch chain amino's, things which i think should be a staple of your training and diet. Note gear is not a supplement!!! Again, websites, magazines etc.
3. Before you even consider using gear and which one lol(there are loads of different ones and they all react slightly differently in your body) research them, there are loads of articles and advice etc on these forums which tell you everything you need to know about types, PCT, pitfalls etc.......dont listen to "the big dude in the corner". The fact that you dont know what PCT (post cycle therapy) is tells me you dont really know anything about steroids and how they work, what they do to your body, the potential for harm and the damage you could do yourself if you dont read up on them. They are dangerous if not used properly.
There are plenty of people on this forum who will help you just be prepared to listen. Even the biggest chaps on this forum started somewhere.
Hope this helps
