Training for Track, Weights
I am a freshman in college, and have put on the so called "freshman 15" due to the lack of excersice and will power. This lack started in the summer, I hurt my shoulder in mid july and stopped lifting all together. When I went into college I was 175 pounds (5'6" stocky frame medium built) due to high school sports and lifting. And while in college depression hit me, i had no motivation, dressed and ate like a slob, just smoked weed and did my work. There was not any level of exercise. A semseter went by and I got out of my depression, and started back up lifting and riding the stationary bike. But 7 weeks ago I had an appendix attack, and had to be in the hostpital for 1 week. Doctors told me not to anyhting for 6 weeks. I look in the mirror and im 190 I hate the way I look, I am not confortable with my appearence, and I want to change. My goal is to drop down to 175 and remain there and maybe go down to 160. That would make me feal so much better. I threw discus in track and I want to trow in College. My question is, can any one help me get a routine either food/supplement/exercise. That I can start doing. All i need is a boost of help to get me going and being active again.
I have mon, wends, thurs, fri that I can lift and do exercise, and tuesday i can only run at nights. Also the cafeteria food is awful and I hate eating it. My breakfast is usually: bowl of cheerios, 2 piece of toast, glass of mile 1% and glass of OJ. lunch, is ether chicken sandwhich w. tomatoe and cheese, and OJ. Dinner either some sort of meet or pasta. Snack: peanut butter crackers, and cereal.
I would like to get som kind of explosion/power/strenght excersises. Along with cardio information that can help me. The lighter and stronger i am the faster i can spin and the more explosion the farther the throw.
Thanks for the advice.
